The default targeting behavior is closest creep. Tower will then lock onto that creep until it dies or goes out of range. Certain towers override this behavior such as Impulse, Gold etc.. But there is no override behavior for AOE towers. As far as the suggestion, Shield is intentionally annoying for AOE. Single target, and especially long range single target, are your counters to shield.

I take it you played the StarCraft 2 version? We did have "Race" and "Casual" modes that did the things you mentioned. But we found that it did not encourage competitive gameplay. So we axed them.

Unfortunately, it won't. You need 64 bit for that. But let's see if Noya can find a way around this.

This picture was intended for use when discussing strategies. So you could be like "I placed Impulse towers at 2" and people would know what you meant.

Glad you enjoy it . Scoreboard is a bug caused by a player disconnecting. We will be fixing that soon. We reduced the default map to 3 players and max map to 6 players because of lag. Once Valve provides dedicated servers then this should be a non-issue. You are correct about basic towers in AP.

I do not have any plans for a new Dota 2 project. I do, however, plan on resuming development of the mobile version (slated for this summer). Wait why 2.5? That version is so old. At least play 4.3b! I guess it doesn't matter now, today is the day.
