  1. Unfortunately, we don't plan on doing that. I still need to do my due diligence and play a few more games beforehand. We're also waiting on some epic artwork. They'll need time to animate it for the loading screen too. All of that said, perhaps early next week.

  4. Thank you for your interest! The alpha milestone is more of an internal one. It represents that we have enough of the game done to show everyone. In terms of reaching it, we have except for the sound. So you can expect gameplay screenshots and videos to start appearing early next year. In terms of a playable version, that will be the beta. It will most likely take the form of a browser version and happen in a few months time. The actual release itself is targeted for Summer 2016.

  6. Agreed. I realize now that I was setting the bar too high in regards to custom assets. I have prepared a list of models to use for the creeps. I just need to do the same for towers. Your help is definitely appreciated. PM me and let me know what you are thinking.
  7. I'm very happy to see people offering to help develop this version. Consider the project open. Please PM me. I'll also concede to the the idea of towers having "unit" models. With that, we should be fine asset wise. It worked in WC3 and SC2...so why not.
  8. Monetization with the DotA 2 version is not a concern for me. I just hesitate to release something unfinished. To be honest, I am as far removed from DotA 2 as one can be. I did not know that about MoD. I'm not tied to him by any means. Frankly, he has been lacking in providing custom assets anyway so... I am against people doing their own version of Element TD because I want to be involved with it. I have enough for an alpha (pre-reborn) so it makes more sense for someone to continue development of that version. Interesting. Alright, I'm game. PM me.
  9. Forum software has been upgraded. Everything should be faster, cleaner etc.. Theme wise we are down to light and dark.
  10. The project is on-hold because the developer had to leave. The work he did was all pre-reborn and thus obsolete. What is not obsolete are my model selections for creeps and the game mechanics. Tower models are not as easy and that is why I am looking to MoD for custom assets. MoD does not own the game, I do. If someone wanted to port the game they should contact me. I would still like to work with MoD for the custom assets. It is a level of polish that sets the game apart. It's much better than having tower models that don't fit at all. I do have the old code. I have the mechanics down for the DotA 2 port. It's similar to WC3 but with some updates. It will be a free game with some in-app purchases (nothing that gives you an advantage though). The next developer should work closely with me. People are not free to do it on their own though.
  11. The mobile version is our priority. There is good news on that front. We are progressing nicely and will reach alpha by end of the year. The mobile version is going to be a paid app. Note that we are avoiding in-app purchase. One day I would like a PC version. It wouldn't be a DotA 2 mod; it would be a standalone game. That way we can bring back the WC3 feel in full force! Surely my next project if the mobile version goes well.

  14. We are going to start up development again due to the Reborn Beta. One problem to note is that a lot of the code base has to be redone because of the engine update. The other problem is getting custom models/icons created for the game. I would expect a release to be a few months out.
  15. Funny you mention that. The creator of that TDKit is on the team. We'll have more details soon. I'll keep you guys updated.

  17. I agree with holepercent. But it's ok because it's better to discuss an idea than not. @WindStrike: I don't know if we need to add more depth as much as add more interaction between players.
