  8. what you're sugguesting is a renaming to make samerandom chosen more often(sound more official). I don't like the idea to rename them like that, it's mostley confusing. maybe a minor improvement would be to put the box/the choice "samerandom" over allrandom, in the dialog boxes to make it chosen more often, IF we wan't it to be chosen more often. Imo, I think too few host try samerandom. All random is still far from fair.

    4.0 possible bug

    I guess this only happened on undead levels, cause that is what the new undead mode is all about, creeps ressurect(not with full hp). for these levels splash damage gain advantage, so build cannons instead of arrows at these levels if you don't wanna leak;)

  11. yes, and if minionspawn is synched with interest, the tower would be unfair. i was gonna sugguest it too, but when i thought more about it, I don't want a tower that can't gain interest by simply selling/rebuilding it at interest timer on random(every other tower can do this, atleast between waves.)
  12. pick+short means you can spend your 3 lumber that you get at the start of the game, to summon 3 elementals(or interest) on any elements you want, and they are automaticly killed at entrance. it's even possible to pick e1 e2 e3 (or any other element)without having to kill them, and in a non shortmode game it wouldn't be possible to kill level 3 elemental at level 15. anyway, after that it's possible to pick the other elements at level 1, and then a pure, to build periodics+ all tier1supporttowers(trickery1 don't work on periodic ofc.maybe l1l2l3(autokilled) and then d1d2d3pp be overpowered for early pures+trickery?(or ef or nw for pures+blcksmith or well) Is this not a problem or would it be a overpowered builds?

I think we discussed two problems, this solution solved one of them, that was that the tower was based on gamplay time so that it could summon emidiatly (built with time precision, equal to building it beginning with 14 mana.) The other problem was that I can press to begin upgrading(from ob tier1 to ob tier2) a second before the summon, and during the upgrade, after the summon, cancle the upgrade. To have tier2 army, but interest as if it was tier1 towers (if i build the tower so that it doesn't summon on interest timer=0) (it is even more abuseable also, as i can have maybe 3 oblivion towers, having money to upgrade one, but i have built them at 3 different times (maybe timer=10, timer=7 and timer=4) and upgrade->cancle one, upgrade->calcle 2nd, upgrade->cancle 3rd, wait for interest, then do it again, having army for 3 tier2 oblivion, with networth for 2tier1 and 1tier2, and gain interest for 3tier1) Anyway, they are also bugged in another way, they can lose one mana or gain one, or maybe it is the summoning itself that can bug and take +/- one sec? how i noticed it, was that i built 2 synched oblivions(they sommoned both at the same time, but after a while one always summoned 1 sec before the other, and after a while 2 sec(2 mana difference). http://rapidshare.com/files/84014584/temporary.w3g.html 3min long replay. and one time(not in that replay a tower even spawned it's first unit emidiately after it was built(oblivion, not tier2)(not in this replay)
  14. Sacrifice? Sacrifice what? tier 2/3 elements? For the cost you also get new towers, have all supporting towers at tier 1, periodic, plus that you have 5 elements left for tier2 and 3 stuff, maybe 6 level 1, 5 level 2. that's 4 tier 2 super triples, 2 tier 2 super duals and 4 tier 1 super triples and 1 tier 1 super dual. maybe it's not really a sacrifice anyway? I can't say my oppinion, as i havn't yet tested it

  16. Even though mana was added to the tower,it's not enough, it's now even more abuseable. Can't be timed so that it emidiatley summons, but with the availability to oblivion towers at different timing, i can do the upgrade, calcle upgrade for high quality minions, on one tower at a time, so that all get's maxed minions, only having money for 1. so, to fix it, it must be made so that it's no longer possible to summon a highlevel unit during the upgrade to oblivion tier 2, and then sell it, still this mana system can be used, just remember to add the no units(at least not highlevel) spawned during upgrade. additional notes: Trickery with oblivion: The trickery tower that copies a oblivion tower begins with 13 mana, which means one units spawned.. good. Oblivion->Oblivion tier 2: the oblivion tier 2 will begin with 0 mana, nomatter what the oblivions mana was... don't know if this is good... it's good that it begins on an amount that is not depending on tier1... but 0 isn't good! isn't that a bit low? oblivion tower tier1 has 7 mana when it's built.
  17. yes but it would not be as easy to notice, as the next wave will start anyway, when someone else than the affected player finishes the wave.
  18. darkness+fire+nature is the combo for summoning, so there are 3 4-element builds with it: DFNW DFNE DFNL and 3 5-element builds: DFNWE DFNWL DFNEL out of these 6 builds, I'd say DFNWL is the strongest. anyway, There you have all aoe-slowing towers and armor reducers. But in a build like DFNWL it's rather stpid to build summoning as base damage tower because there are lots of better choices. Anyway, if you want a strong build you better have aoe slows in there and armor reducers or buffer. (if not playing gemstone which is booring). the DFNE build is a bit hard one to begin with, it has no buffer, no armor reducers and no slowing tower. if you want to try it, go for summoning crypt, maybe roots/moon/flamethrower? up to you;) the DFNW build ads acid well and poison. acid is an armor reducers that will (at tier 2) reduce armor on creeps so that tower does about double damage(on veryhard). well does not boost the summoning tower. The poison tower can be used for slowing, if it is used correctly it can actually be quite a valueable tower, feel free to ask if you'd like to know how. Feel free to try this build, maybe it's a bit hard? remember: you can't have your damage dealt to be 100% darkness, it renders you a huge weakness to light. the DFNL build ads enchantment tower and nova tower. This one might be a bit easier to use than DFNW because nova is easier to use than nova. you only have to learn the size of nova's aoe slow and then place it well. Enchantment tower is an armor reducing tower, aswell as acid, but requires more than 1 built to affect all c5reeps, as it is single target caster. The enchantment tower can also spend it's mana on buffing other towers, does not work on summoning. Remember: Enchantment will have Inner fire on autocast when you build it, so you have to set Faerrie Fire to autocast instead. DFNEW can give you poison acid and some more towers of value (like sludge which can slow single target. DFNEL can give you nova enchantment metal. and some more. metal is good cause it's a strong earth damage tower. the summoning tower will be weak at light levels, where metal tower could coverup. if you have 75% of your damage based on darkness(summoning) the rest 25% to be earth(metal). nova slows, enchantment reduces armor/makes towers stronger, simple as that. DFNWL.... this one gives you enchantment and acid(both armor red) nova and storm and ice(all 3 aoe slows) and also some poisonnot needed to be built, creeps will allready be at minimum movementspeed with moonsoon+nova/supernova). The problem with summoning tower is that it is a darkness damage tower. to work well as the base damage dealer you need a earth damage dealer for ever 3 darkness to cover up. but there are only 3 builds with earth in. however this build is strong enough anyway. if you want you can have the summoning tower as the cover up damage dealer, while having fire the base damage(put 25% of your money to darkness and 75% to fire). in this case refined fire would be the best choice, because the build have no other fire damage towers(acid and steam count as armor type ignoring). if building pure or refind fire, it would be worth to have a well tower buffing them, and maybe to some manuall inner fire casting from the enchanement towers if you feel like. feel free to try out some of these builds, depending on how easy you want it, but these are the towers i would use in case of playing these builds with summoning tower.

  20. agree, totally, I noticed this today too, when clicking the towere query...where can I see the damage type? Maybe there are too many colors if it's simply added to the tower name in the query?
  21. let me add up my oppinions. Competitive mode: This is not a terrible mode, but has some errors. As 13est said, the dead player can see nothing, which is bad imo, in a game of more than 2 players, where ppl want to look/wait for friends. Another problem is that i can't even see my entire own area, if I'm far away, and have no "scout towers". another strange thing, I don't know if it matters, couse we could chat, was that player 1 began with the all chat, while i player 2 began with the allies chat. Tournament mode: on this mode it felt stupid to have 75% sell back. But that might be also because we had a terrible random of the chosen elements. (something like ¤dwdw and got owned by dark mech followed.) But also I leaked because the stop key no longer works to towers. Why this felt stupid to have 75% sellback was basicly because I couldn't plan my building, as in pick mode. and neither could I sell between waves to change towers due to the 75% sell. maybe 100% would make the mode to easy, so i got the idea to make it something like 80%, but shortley realized it wouldn't solve anything, I'd still not change towers between every other wave, so, I'd say it ain't anything wrong with the mode, but I'd find it more fun at 100%.

What i meant was that i liked the name steam more. i agree that there can be one armor ignoring tower... maybe it's too strong and can be spammed tier3, if so, i think it'd not be bad to leave it as the old steam, that it don't stack in spamming, but also the damage has to be increased greatly, as for the old vapor/immolation vas rarely used at all. Also, i forgot to say that i liked the name aicd more than corrosion.
