Armor ignoring should not exist imo. I thought Kindle was no more armor ignoring? anyway towers such as Roots and ice i know are. I had a look on the models before too, and i must agree that life has a strange model. the upper levels on it are better. maybe towers such as magic will have problem in racingbuilds, aswell as zeal tower will gain an advantage of racing when playing extreme mode.(creeps spawn fast enough to make the skill never stop. as for the short/long range balance problem a shortrange tower will always be better than the longrange towers on multiplayer and the opposite on single player(except for boss-killing), aswell as a armor reducer or buffing tower such as acid or well gains an advantage from the slowing super towers such as nova and roots on multiplayer as they slow down, which looses speed and gains nothing. This leads to that we can either leave it, or buff the weaker, to be better in singleplayer but still a bit worse in multiplayer. The same is with a longpass tower compared to a 2pass tower The longpass tower(tidal/quaker/Steam) has to be strong enough to work on a longpass, because there is where it's strongest. While beeing strongest at longpass this gains an advantage. it can be placed on area 5 or 8 and speed while the other builds might have to use a 2pass to survive, and get overwhelmed. For cosmetic design, I can begin with my hotkey thoughts. I'd like all hotkeys to be on the left side of the keyboard (as the right hand is on the mouse for most players). That means a boundary at the B for Build button that has to be saved. QWERT .ASDFG ..ZXCVB The towers that have a bad firstletter(hotkey): Ice Life Poison Magic Kindle Hydro Hail Jinx Oblivion Laser Polar Nova Muck Impulse I understand that all these can't be changed, but some could even have a better name that uses the better hotkeys. Towers I don't like the name: Kindle....What was wrong with Steam? better hotkey, better name to elements, model, effect imo. (ok, maybe kndle is better for effect, but i still vote for steam Hydro....to me, water and earth means either clay or erosion/grand canyon tower. but i don't really have a good idea how to mean it stacks with the effect, maybe "a 20% chance that the unit slips in the clay and lands to deal the aoe"and make the jump a bit lower:P. Laser....I dont get it that laser is short range, but i don't have a better sugguestition for a name/model. Windstorm/Muck: My sheet for tower names says that one of these can change back to original names(begginging with S) but not both. First i was about to say Muck to change to sludge because M is a bad hotkey, but then i thought that the most important isn't that, and muck is an all new tower except for the model, so i sugguest Windstorm->Storm About hotkeys i would like the original hotkeys back to normal. Everything is so, except for 2 things. Buffing is not F (inner [F]re, [F]ire up]..i don't know for c[F]loning with trickery:p)everywhere and most important. aRrow! This makes a terrible problem when switching between playing the versions 3.0 and 4.0. The Upgrade hotkey if fine with me, but please change it to [Q]uality upgrade or something, it's a mess to move the hand to the right side and have to look down to see I'm clicking correctly. For supertower balancing, It's a good thing that armor reducers were nerfed and that slowing aoes slow less. But we're not there yet.( Btw, duals price have drasticly been lowered, but were the damage duals nerfed to compensate?) If we follow >Cisz's proposal< MH's sheet The super towers are still distributed over different elements. Maybe you(not pointing at cisz or anyone, dunno who's mistake it is, and maybe im misunderstanding) haven't noticed but you've done something very wrong. While LDF LFW LFN LNE DFW DFN DWE DNE are the strong triples... you've inserted the numbers for LFN LFE LWN LWE DFN DFE DWN DWE... and this is a major miss... the DLFW build actually has 3 strong triples, and LDWN has 1 strong triple...(and a strong dual). Hope this wasn't a nasty surprise.. I have been thinking about a conclution for supertower distribution, and i can show it if i'm proven right on this. there are other major imbalancess with this system. some builds have 2 aoe slows, which don't work equaly good as a slow and an armor reducers. and a slower and a armor reducer don't work equally strong as a super dual for sure. i allready have some of the ideas posted in "tower distribution over elements" topic in major changes. I cannot yet point out the towers that are worthless in builds(where there is always a better choice) because we might have to break the structure, and switch over elements for some towers. a last thing, i would like buildtimes decreased a bit, and mech is too hard, makes spamming nessesary. as gipface said it "RIP 2-pass"

This time appeared on the transition between wave 33 and 34. Have used the commands -level and -gold and -lumber, but that was maybe 10mins before the bug occured. Used all dual- and triple-towers. check replay for more info, http://rapidshare.com/files/82238400/be ... g.w3g.html

,. if we want more than one place to make it seen it could be in passive skills line aswell as somewhere typed on the ground, just like eletd.com is typed behind the research center, but the more info we but into the map, the harder it will be for people to remember anything.

I'm tired of hosting veryhard samerandom game and i can't type the entire name so i shorten it EleTD VH SR and most people understand nothing. I'm also tired of joining a game called Element TD and after the game has started it appears the host forces VeryEasy Hero Mode. I don't blame the others that don't know the shortenings VE/VH SR and so because they never had the chance to learn them. I sugguest that when clicking the dialog boxes they shall read something like "VeryHard (VH)" instead of just "VeryHard" and then the message comes "The host has decided he doesn't like Extreme mode (X)" If Etd4 becomes a great success maybe ppl will learn that "EleTD VH SR X" means Element TD VeryHard SameRandom eXtreme" (maybe EXtreme (EX) is easier for ppl do understand

sound good, and 0rb3r's 2nd idea sounds good too, because then the fast mode would be fast to a bunch of lame people too. so that they can't play on area6 and think they are beating the fast mode while they are actually using a rather slow 2pass. And ofcourse a message to them so they don't have to understand nothing. something like "This is fast mode, and as you are not fast enough yourselves, here comes another wave anyway". err - except that i formulate very baad

composite is something that only makes the level harder, like healing or fast. for this one there isn't really a counter attack. it's ok with me, but i don't like it combined with another classification. but maybe it's too lake to change the creep shakeup.

I think it does take a little to much time to upgrade from building a cannon into having an elemental cannon, but it takes to little micro just to switch in one click.. I wouldn't like this I believe,

Great to hear. Note that what i wrote earlier, is not my own oppion. It's some ideas, as i didn't know how you had planned it, and if you had searched but not found this idea. Hope now that the duals actually do become strong enoughI like that all builds are not the same thing with different names, They should be as about equally strong, which will be hard ofc. I liked how a terrible random could appear, but i didn't like that Pick/AR was never really played on multiplayer.

yeah, i sugguest you place them in the "correct" order, Light->Darkness->Water->Fire->Nature->Earth->Lig.... if there ain't a special reason behind this one. else it's really nice

I didn’t like the aoe slowing tower were spread over the elements. For now there are 2 4-element builds with 2 aoe slows 10 4-element builds with 1 aoe slow 3 4-element builds without any aoe slow I felt ther must be a solution for making all 4- and 5-element builds have the same many aoe-slowing towers (still with a total of 4 soe slows) To make this not soooooo boooring i can reveal that i got the idea from evenly spreading decorations (blue-, red- goldenbrown-christmas balls and lights) over the (green) christmas tree.(darkness won’t appear until i turn the lights out ) Btw, the whole christmas tree is green, and so should the entire eletd map be, including the yellow players map. (maybe this is allready fixed) http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscn2389ya1.jpg And after a while i came up with this: One of the 4 aoe slows must be placed either on EFD or NWL (the 2 special combos, with no element connecting to any of the others, i was surpriced that you didn’t place the 2 armor reducers on these opposited, but it don’t matter) After that there are many solutions on how to distribute the rest of the aoe-slows over the elements. A total of 12. With DEF as one of the towers the others can be: DLW ELN FWN DWL EWN [b]FLN[/b] DWN EWL [b]FNL[/b] DNW ENL [b]FWL[/b] DNL ENW [b]FLW[/b] DLN ELW FNW And with NLW as one of them the others will be any of these 6 groups: NEF LED WFD NFE LFD [b]WED[/b] NFD LFE [b]WDE[/b] NDF LDE WFE [b]NED[/b] LEF WDF [b]NDE[/b] LDF WEF This means that the tower would nt need to be changed, because there allready is one aoe slow on this place. As you see there is a minimum of 3 aoe towers to need to change element. So maybe it’s a bit late, and then the builds maybe have to be rebalanced in damage towers also, as changing these will change other things too. The two armor reducers are good placed as they allready are i think, sharing no element, (although as i meantioned I’m surpriced they are not on EFD and NLW but one of these are needed for aoe slows anyway) The support duals are also rather good, sharing no element. But i still don’t understand why yo chose WN FE and LD (although i like to keep for example well on WN) Let trickery have 2 connected elements, but not well and blacksmith. I thought something like LD WF NE or DW FN EL, that all have connected elements, or LF DN WE with opposite elements, or http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dualsaj1.jpg It’d stack best with armor reducers on triples that contain no support dual(such as LEN and WDF as it is now, but for the 3rd picture.) Maybe it’s far too late and far too much to change but i thought the idea was worth posting. Will do some additional research about how the duals ”stack”(or more like how they can be placed best to share the correct elements and so) with the aoe slows if this isn’t totally uninteresting. Willing to help about single target slows too, or any other balancing of how tower should be spread.

Did a normal game FNEL base damage: quaker coverup damage: fire tower and fire arrows slowing tower: nova and flame additional support: blacksmith and enchantment Tried to keep the gameplay not too complicated, and ended up with 42 lives, leaking water healing murguls, and evil children. Can definitly be prevented if not keeping it so simple, but normal shouldn't be too easy, i think it's good, but need to try other builds too beforte i can say for sure. http://rapidshare.com/files/78349008/be ... i.w3g.html

For my first go on beta 6 i tried a quaker build (FNED) The first that happened was a bug, somewhat like the old undead bug, but not on undeads. Creeps stopped spawning, why i do not know( http://rapidshare.com/files/77495002/bu ... d.w3g.html ). This happened again when I, Del_Diablo and orb3r were testing death, but this time, my creeps stopped spawning when i was alive, and Del_diablos creeps didn't stop spawning while he was dead, and orb3r could continue.( http://rapidshare.com/files/77495236/bu ... 6.w3g.html ) However, on the FNED run i used roots quaker and flame, blacksmith don't stack with the stomp of quaker afaik. On beta 5 this was too weak because it worked good up to lvl 30, worked 30-40, was bad 40-50 and sucked a lot 50-60. now you buffed it, so that it in general does more damage. so now it works good up to 40 workes almost to 50 and is bad 50-60. it needed a buff, but I'd say that's not th (only) buff it needed. as Lategame is alot harder it needs to be able to be more buffed in lategame(better access to support/slow/armor reducers). but the only it got is flame and roots. getting to later midgame a blacksmith tier2 would have been raised, and it would be able to handle lvl 40-50 with maybe a firetower like flamethrower as coverup for nature levels. (or itself beeing a coverup for lightlevels with a dark tower as base dmg) I believe that it should be more fun if more towers needs to be used in a good combination for the perfect match. Not adding damage or range to the quaker, more like adding the availability to combine with blacksmithtower in latergame or some other supporting tower, and maybe something good for mech as quaker fails mech bigtime. I tried FNEL and FNEW too and it fails pretty bad there aswell,(it might be possible in a 5elebuild but i think it should be possible in atleast one 4 elementbuild or the tower is somewhat worthless). Making it stack with blacksmith and maybe something else that would make it able to work in lategame, maybe by making it stack with another tower too. So, my sugguestition is to make the bonus stack with blacksmith(if it don't allready do, i took it for granted and never tested sorry) Edit: Yeah, i was wrong, it does stack with everything, and is now somewhat good, because it has at least one place where it works( the fnel build) have not yet tried dark build or water, think those are harder.

oh, sorry i misread, i thought you meant to use the builders inventory to summon elementals. hmm, but useing it for checking lvls must be faster, and i almost never use to type it just because i don't want others to see. I don't want the others to also notice when our weaknesses/strengths will appear, just because i remember checking it. So, if this won't show to the other players, I would like the idea very much. I hate that i have to reveal everything to the others by those commands.

hmm, for pure it's pure essence, it's fine by me if it's called elemental essence as long as there is an official shortening like ee, ....but when i think again it might not be that good idea, as it's most common used by noobs saying "wtf? where's my lumber?" so maybe the length of the word don't matter too much to me. But i still agree for elemental power/essence or so, instead of lumber.

hmm, I like the idea... but i don't like that general things such as this and hotkeys change to much, to disable switching playing between versions

Maybe use linking more? like not making a 3page text, but keep it short, and allow the players to click, let's say, the word "interest" to get linked to more detailed info about interest... or maybe not:P
