    "Attack Ground"

    in 3.0 our glacier/ice age towers were able to do this and I wished it upon more towers too! it's a neat idea - but if you see it from a different perspective maybe not. ok, this makes it easier to make up your strategies by forcing your towers to attack at a specific place, but I find it probably even more interesting to try place the towers so that they attack where you want them to or - micro them the tower itself not being perfect allows you to micro, and the towers themselves not being perfect allows you to improve gameplay by optimized tower placement! so I say - gl hf on your micro and tower placement like poison and ice towers - place them at area 4 and micro them to attack upwards! so my vote was a couple of years ago yes, but nowadays with a deeper insight, I guess but dunno if I'm right since it's a matter of opinion, i'd say no. PS. an example of towerplacement to force a tower to attack at a specific spot is like the placement of zealot, if you place them at 4, you shoudl always place them on the lower part of 4, since that makes them wanna attack towers on the lower path side of the ledge.DS. PS2. perhaps it'd be cool to have this attack ground left on some tower but not ALL. perhaps Gunpowder or flamethrower or something. My vote on ALL is still no(and vote in poll) but I am really positive for this feature on one tower.DS2

    I tried to edit one of my own posts in the suggestions section, one of my own. I clicked edit, edited and clicked submit post. "your post was successfully edited" - cool! just that, the post wasn't edited - it is same as before I edited. tried 3 times or so - no change of post.

    Karawasa just released us what we call a release candidate - which means, we try it for some days and if it doesn't fall apart we release it.

    I don't see the reason to keep dead topics dead. I'm sure the reviver has a good reason to do so - perhaps he posted that he wanted to accomplish something - and 3 mounths later finally did it and have a replay? Or, could be anything..

    you need your wc3 video settings to show weather to me it was no weather either at first - since I had weathers turned off in wc3. dunno which exact setting it is - but if youy set all to highest quality there will be weather

  11. Health of refined tower is wrong. While you look into it - check if the sell price and upgrade cost is as should be too. all I noticed is that it sais it costs an even 1500 to upgrade to and land on a health ending with a 3 , not a 0 (ie wrong).

    23 not an RC

    Sry to say but dp still bugs around. if I'm player 6 (dunno about the others) I don't get to vote at all. sometimes the element pick phase doesn't start at all. if you don't pick all elements within 15 sec One element gets randomed, but that is not neough for the game to start, so the pick turn gets stuck at player one and he gets to pick again and again until there is nothing more to pick. one has to spend all 15 element picks within 15 seconds if the game should start, else nothing gets randomized and the picking continues timer restarts. 15 new picks. the picking layout still looks baad imo, dp should wait for 4.1, or should I put it this way, 4.0 shouldn't wait for DP. when we played draft and I was player 6 I noticed that the player 6 summoning center problem still exists, just like a few other problems still existing, like building on path (terrain bug) player i upper area / destroys towers, and something more I cna't remember - to be added up later. I'm sure everyone agrees that 23 is not an RC, and if we shall release asap it'd be good to output a beta 23b with the bugfixes since we will need a week or so to test the final thing before release. Edit: Tested in SP- not as buggy as MP. I get 15 sec to spend all my elemental picks - even though there are 15 picks to spend in sp. same for 2 players 15 sec for 7 picks each. the time should be depending on how many eles you are going to select (how many players in game) after the 15 sec run out the timer restarts, and I may finish my picks even if I'm too slow - where is the randomization? If I finish the rest of my picks for a total of 15 in the 2nd or later loop of the timer the game starts (this is only in singleplayer, in multiplayer I need 15 new picks for the game to start, even if there might not be 15 eles left to choose from) seconds to choose eles should be a+bx a dn be being constant and x being number of picks. maybe 12+3x for 15sec for one pick(8 players) and 57 sec for 15 picks. If it becomes a big deal make the host able to decide between fast and slow timers.

    Weather

    Weather is Working. Neat. only things that didn't work were: moonlight/sunlight. I type -weather moonlight or sunlight, and it pops up the list of available weather commands, as if i typed a weather that doesn't exist. -weather off doesn't exist in the list, although it works perfectly fine. Should be there, above or below the others. "off - no weather"
  15. welcome to the board - although you're not exactly new anymore. just a question - how many of those 20 garena rooms are dota rooms? and is there any element td room?
  16. can't view the replay since it's not same ver of wc3. anyway I guess one of you were dead, so that there were only 2 living players? in that case one vote is enouch since only half of the living players has to vote for a kick to pass. so for 3-4 living players 2 votes to kick. for 5-6 living players 3 votes to kick. However for 1-2 living players it should not be possible to kick, that is a known bug that should be fixed for next beta. But if this kick you're tlaking about passed with one vote with 3 ppl alive, then you have found an ugly bug

  19. and players 7 and 8 were not allowed to vote at all as seen in replays. this thing is too buggy - please wait with the release wil 4.1 or the 4.0 will take loads of loads of moar time.

Elemental timer is 20sec. even on ve which has normal timer of 30 sec how about elemental timere=difficultys regular timer+15 or, if we want it constant, 30 is better than 20. but i guess +15 is better, unless VE ppl are bored to death but they have new towers to check out - or interest to farm

    you forgot flame and ice though tey are not as important since the AoE slows give more than full slow and flame doesn't work that well in the beginning. although later on the dmg amplify can be useful. (flame and ice are trickier towers to use)

  24. um.. you are wrong . a tier 1 dual has X damage and costs 500gold. a tier 2 dual has 5X damage and costs 1250gold. that means a tier 2 dual is twice as effective as the same dual of tier 1. a 200%dmg tower is 4 times as effective as a 50%dmg tower of the same strength. that means the correct element is 4 times as strong as the wrong element. that means 200%dmg tier 1 duals for X gold is twice as strong as 50%dmg tier 2 duals for X gold. In other words: vs a light wave Hydro should be twice as strong as Sorcery vs a light wave. Your test proves different due to one or several of the following reasons: a) you played vs mechanicals so hydro Should get weaker due to splash. you had bad luck with the hydros c) the towers are imbalanced. And NOT sorry. Same goes for lv 3 50%dmg vs lv 2 200%dmg. Especially if the lower level is a triple to cover while the upgraded one is a dual.
  25. um you are talking about a build with 2 maxed elements, creating a damage tower of one elemental damage type, in which case you mean it is not worth building a tier 2 of cover-up-element ? if that is what you mean I don't agree, but I guess you mean something else
