  1. harpies are level 51^^ even with 200 lives none would make it through lv 56 59 and 60 (with light towers only) if 50 lives lost at those harpies.
  2. did you understand how to play darkness tower properly? give me a screenshot of where you placed it please. although it might need a small buff anyway be4cause slow speed and that placement actually is rather hard to play.

    I\d say its enough of that as it allready is. on VE one can own the first 20 levels on onepass wit hhalf the gold spent but for the endgame most noobs die. Same for experts who play VH Rnd, most pros don\t leak until like lvl 35/40 but most times die between 45 and 55 anyway.

  6. um right, in 3.0 they had a varied damage. instead of 2500-2500 they could have 1250-3750. electricity was one of those.

    I understood it like this: gold increases faster and thus you need to add up 30% more towers every level instead of 10%, (or something like that), and same with creep hp. First of all, I guess most would not find that more fun, and it would affect the game in other ways too. pure builds get weaker than they should and triple supporters stronger than they should(because those ya pay a certain amount for, to beuild one of each instead of like other boosters build one for every 4 dmg towers). and towers with limited placements get weaker than they should too because their aint much space left to build if everyone shall have twice as many towers.

    meh, can be read anyway, although it\s hard to see, but most can guess what there should be behind the darkness text aswell as many with the regular board could read a white text

  13. oh, we allready know how it looks, as a savefile, so even more useful would be if you had a replay file
  14. um, that is not imba in rnd. shortrange are the best to rebuild in rnd, but there are many shortrange towers that are good allready for rebuild. and then there are those that are especially effective for rebuilding, like magic for example that can charge if built at 4/- i think kirby has a better reason to claim it imba in rnd. singletarget is not extra good in rnd, neither is high power/low speed.

  16. Sounds like darkness tower. Very slow but strong! you forgot to add that it's imba in random mode why is darkness tower imba in random mode? aah, perhaps kirby was guessing he meant superslow attack, like one attack every 5 sec, and yes, then it would be extra good in random mode for sell/rebuilkd beeing more effective than letting it autoattack. but the tower isn\t very specified i must say, how slow is the cooldown fo attack? how long is the range? is it singletarget? does it have any special ability?
  17. new elements or towers (very very most likely) will not be the case for 4.0. although, we will hopefully see 44 working towers, at different levels, that are balanced enough to all be used at different stages. that means a few new towers hat didn\t exist in 4.0pb and a few that did exist but were too weak to be used:P

    Challenge #1

    Note how old this challenge is, it is a challenge for the 3.0 version of eletd. same goes for the other challenges. there are a few inofficial challenges for the 4.0 public beta, and also there is the Great Ronald Hunt for 4.0pb but the hunt requires VeryHard as well.

  20. that happens if you paint soumething in paint, and name it something.jpg but have output type bmp selected. And as for the post, I am not entirely sure about what you mean. we do have hotkeys for everything to build and everything you build and everything you upgrde. as mentioned summoning elementals cause bugs. hotkeys for selecting builder/summoning center/special tower/ or any other structure/unit are set by player ingame via ctrl+1/2/3.../9. Edit in the light of DDRKirby's post: you are right kirby, i messed ctrl and shift up^^ now replaced shift with ctrl.

  22. um, that is rather untrue. There are 12 damage duals and 12 damage triples. 2 of each of each element. The damage type of the support triples can not be equally many of each types. *3 damage duals cant use 6 element types, neither can 8 support triples. instead there are 2 support towers of each element except darkness which has one, just for the sake that the number of towers not including composite towers is not dividable by 6) And the support towers damage is not a big deal after all. and the dmg type of the boosters is not part of the balance, so it is not a problem.
  23. That is not how the map balace works or is supposed to work. Every group of towers can have their individual factor for increase. besides, it must not be increased by a special factor that is the same. but every group of towers at each level have to be equal in strength(honestly that is not entirely true, but in the same group over different tiers they follow the same factoring) and boost and cost. The groups are: Tier 1 Damage Duals Tier 2 -----||----- Tier 3 -----||----- Tier 1 Support Duals Tier 2 -----||----- Tier 3 -----||----- Tier 1 Damage Triples Tier 2 -----||----- Tier 1 Support Triples Tier 2 -----||----- Tier 1 Single Elements Tier 2 -----||----- Tier 3 -----||----- Tier 4 -----||----- Tier 5 -----||----- (aka pures) Periodic Tower of the Elements Some extra "rules" that we tend to follow are: Damage triples have the same price as support triples and Damage Duals the same price as Support Duals. Supporter do have lower damage than Damage towers, but follow the same factoring for increased damage over tiers. (eg, if hydro has 1000/5000/25000 dmg, then blacksmith could have 500/2500/12500) a conclution: There has been some thinking behind the balance of the map and 200% well/smith/trickery is nessesary for the balance of the map. remember public beta? there was no 200% but 6element build was by far the best build and the only one playable in multiplayer and there were only a certain set of elements that were reasonable to pick.
  24. last time i played i did not use polar tower at all, but all the undead levels after 40 included backwards walking creeps.
