woah, i was thinking the opposite. that after the long wait many might goh "bah this map is the same as pb, it has teh same towers and almost the same modes and everything!" because, no offence, but many of the public players don't understand the balance that is the main part we introduced to 4.0 from pb.

I guess you didn't think that through:P combining the idea of "a perfect set" with "a few additional changes" heh. but your latest post sounds great! please use the bubble instead of burn, and not only make it a blue fire. and would it be possible to call it something along the lines Steam? makes more sense with blue to have boiling. I know first lvl can't be named with an S. Perhaps "Boiling tower/Steam tower/something tower". Or soemthing like it. I've seen the bubble gfx at several places. same as in the drowning tower and for the dota turrent and some more places. lightning reddish should work just good. hydro more brownish... yess but not brown water please. perhaps mud/rocks instead of water. but you understand that too

hmm - so, make elemental arrows less effective than regular arrows? hmm. perhaps that is a good thing. not sure. if it's a bad thing what we'd do is instead to make amps deal more dmg at same cost if we need to change something at all.

bad exaples imo. with 4.0 I'd be happy is 2 different elements for dmg duals are represented in each 3ele build with a dual boost. because else these type of builds won't work out. FNW FNW FNWLD FNW FNWL FNWL with both kindle and flame being fire.

if you necessarily want to keep those other versions because you don't want to download again when someone hosts a fake version, you should store those in a special map and not the official version. official version should be located in \download\ and nowhere else, and always using official version to record replays in order for players to be able to watch your replay.

oh sorry, I did read wrong. thought he said "karawasas supposed changes would work".but he suggested different changes - and yes those are great. one of the ways to get all working, and a nice finding cause it's so close to where we are now. steam would make sense with water ofcourse, with boiling water instead of burning fire. Ice makes enough sence with light. Electricity to fire should work too, perhaps a bit of red to the chain lightning. I'm for this idea. It makes all 3 ele combinations with a sup dual able to max. and more builds balanced is great.

I checked out the so called Element td room there, at garena, on a friends pc a few times. but I saw no eletd players in there. just exp afkers and ppl shouting "green td join all" and all that. but I heard some say there are skilled players there from time to time, although that rumor mustn't necessarily be true.

correct that is fixes ice/poison. but it doesn't fix flame kindle and it replaces quark/electricity with quark/gunpowder. I don't know what you're talking about. It does fix them all. In only 3 moves. I'm quite sure that's the minimal solution. Currently the Ice/Poison, Flame/Kindle, Quark/Electricity are bad because: LWD contains a support dual(trickery) and 2 water type damage duals(ice poison) FWN contains a support dual(well) and 2 fire type damage duals(flame kindle) FLE contains a support dual(smith) and 2 light type damage duals(electricity quark) if we would do the changes suggested by karawasa that woudl make: FWN contains a support dual(well) and 2 fire type damage duals(flame kindle) EDL contains a support dual(trickery) and 2 earth type damage duals(gun quark)

cisz is right, they shall attack each creep only once. in corners they have too short range to keep attacking, and need to choose a new target, that will also get slowed.

if apm doesn't affect the map alot in stuff like loading time, map size, lag, hard to code etc. I'm for it in the command list for the builder that is to be implemented as an dummy ability afaik.

i always wanted it to be green grass too - but the guy wiyth the rights to the terrain is gone since a long time

if the problem is that pure earluy builds such as WNWNWNPPP are too strong, then increasing the cost and damage will not help. The "support dual+ pure"-builds will only get stronger. ontop of that, builds that have pures in lategame will spend a larger part of their cash on pures, so builds with dmg duals lvl 3 won't have any use of them. increasing the cost but not the dmg of pures, would make pures less effective than dmg duals and I guess we do not want that. would be possible to change by removing one of the free essences. would also make buy essence a valid option at lvl 45-55. and earlier on too ofc, which is the part we do not like. SO - I suggest that if we, when we make the map harder, notice that the pure+dual boost builds are still too strong, then we might have to set a required wave for buying pure essences, like after lvl 50 or so. we might also have to consider wether 2 free essences is a good idea or not.

yes, the first is "choose difficulty" (a host option) and then comes if chosen in first option "Restrict difficulty" and last "choose your difficulty" meaning, first comes for the host "do you want to play All on VE, E, N, H, VH, or refer difficulty, or Restricted Diff. if restricted dif is chosen, then the host choses which restriction, as above is shown. if he chooses say normal and harder, that triggers the option for each player to seelect if they want to play normal hard or veryhard. refer would trigger a vote on which restriction there hsould be. the refer on the chosen restrictiveness. So - the same as shown above, and after the restrictiveness every player will choose their own difficulty. what you misunderstood I think is that the first option shown above is not each players dif, it is the host who has the chance to force "all VE" or "all vh" or w/e. the 2nd option is the choice of restrictiveness, only if Restricted difficulty is chosen. after that, there is, unless host forced diff, the choice of difficulty for each individual player.

sound good hmmm but how about - perhaps the rangecheck ability should be replaced by a "commands" ability that gives you a list of them. -fire -non -mechnical -wave 51(to check what is at wave 51) etc etc, and also -range xxxx and -ma ontop

correct, after defeating VH AP there isn't much left to do there. but go for VH RND CM. Random+Chaos mode makes for 100% replayability and on random you sell towers for 100% meaning, you won't just sit there and watch. you can interest farm throughout the game, if you don't wanna spend your time microing your towers, or watching TV

as the title sais, Difficulties chosen should be announced when they are selected, all in one list after all selected diffs - With the difficulties of the color that they each have! Perhaps even a command should be announced like: -difficulties or -dif or -pd or -am or whatever, perhaps -sushi; that players can type in during the game if they forgot and want to recheck what dif teh remaining(and perhaps also dead) players had chosen. This is to prevent players from keeping to play difficulties that are too easy for them, and comforts them to try something new, because it is cred to play harder, and it should be.

as morphthing sais, the only thing that changes isn't that they can not be built early. it also makes them more powerful as soon as you have them, to let them take up more of your net worth. and 11k from 8k wouldn't help at all vs the pure problem. and if we would simply nerf them in damage without touching the cost, they would not be cool towers anymore, they would be the ultimate towers not very ultimate. I think the only way would be making pure essences no earlier than 50, perhaps touch the damage or cost if you want, btu that alone will not prevent anything. it will only be easie to abuse them with a cost of 10-15k.
