    Element TD But I don't suspect anyone to actually be in it before release. I am planning on writing it in a topic that the EU part will have a channel there.

    I have to disappoint the EU side that I might be a bit busy Monday. But I can be online and just upload the map, and hopefully I can invite people from time to time. *I was wondering, once they have gotten the map can they play it by themselves?
  4. I don't think the wc3 is played now as it was during it's "golden age". It was even played pretty competitive by some (including me) where you try to outlast your opponents by farming interest more effective while you try to "rush" them by making the creeps spawn before they have time to react. Version 4.3b is the latest, but sadly there is a small bug that makes mushroom towers rather bad. (imo) But the good news are that we got an Element TD for Starcraft 2 in development, it's soon to reach it's first "playable" version. And it seems to be a lot of interest in it. Maybe you can find some helpful threads in the archive. And there is always someone who can help you better then me. But I just wanted to highlight what is "happening" currently.

    Aha, well there was at least 5 people contacting me within about 5-10 minutes... I don't know who's who, and I won't remember it either. After the alpha starts I will be more then happy to answer all of your "spams".

    Also I want to tell everyone that the alpha is not out yet. So could you please kindly wait with all the spamming until it is released (or ideally check if I am in a ladder game, I take them quite seriously and it's annoying to get disturbed. But I don't want to set to busy mode) But don't hesitate to contact me, I promise I am usually a nice person. Just try to check if I am in a -ladder game- or not first. (you can do this by adding me and check my status)

  11. Everything has been delay duo to bugs, so thus far we don't have a playable alpha yet

The towers now search for an object called normalCreep (and all other creeps will probably inherit this object) When the creep has died (taken more damage then hp) it will enter a "sleep" (a creep also sleeps a few seconds after it is spawned to prevent clumping - This is not the final solution unless I run out of time.) Later I will either make it simple and just add gold, give a kill and then delete the object. The towers will start to search for new objects if the creep is "sleeping" or is out of range. Missile are not so advanced, the will simply move x amount pixels closer to the object they are following each cycle. (so no cool "force" movement, might add this since I like physics and maths, I've already started to think about giving a constant acceleration instead that alters the speed, but time is short once again) Remember this isn't really a big school project, I think I made it bigger then it was supposed to be. So there will be a lot of unpolished things. *Everything updates dynamically you can add objects and they will all automatically update via pointers and a linked list. (but you can't place anything "in game" right now, that is whats next)

  15. Well if you look back at wc3 every custom game involved the "standard" units. We got footmen that used ordinary footmens, we had tower defence which used the standard watch tower or guard tower. Most maps where "defend yourself from the undead" kind of maps. And we see the same thing with sc2, most maps are "defend yourself from zerg" kind of maps. What really helped warcraft 3 was the heroes which was something new and exciting in a strategy game like warcraft 3. (well obviously using heroes wasn't new, but it was just used in a way that promoted testing different styles with the same thing) Also if I remember correctly most RoC maps sucked totally, when tFTwas released the quality quickly increased. Well it's not a good comparison since the editor should be fully complete with even the first game. But it will probably add some missing functionality. Also I think the current popularity system is a bit flawed, maybe it's just so many sc2 players that a system like that is needed or that they host the games on their own servers. But as we know they are working for a fix to this.
  16. Ofcourse, but you could have a problem with your warcraft 3 version. That is why you should try to logg in online to confirm that you got the latest version and if not download the latest. Because this problem can occur if you are using a to old version.
  17. Try to logg on to battle.net then try to host the game there.
