Something to code = chance to bug = release delayed = people kill me. I encourage everyone to discuss this though, as anything is possible for 4.1.

I'd actually prefer that an older topic be bumped and for activity to focus around it. Provided it isn't too old, I think the alternative (no post) is worse. Perhaps auto-close topics after three months.

Sounds like I will probably be cutting out Draft Pick for 4.0. In that case, everyone hurry up, go, go, go, and give all your feedback for everything but Draft Pick. I think it is time we get this map out!

I completely agree with your sentiments. There is a good chance I will cut out Draft Pick if I cannot fix it by the time everything else is in order. We are on a very short horizon...fasten your seatbelts!

Fourth: Here is the changelog: -Weather effects added to each area for visual appeal -New weather commands (-weather for a list), weather is local to players -MagicalHacker builder replaced with jolin012 builder -PUI Handle Error annihilated (stop attack bug etc., this also should increase performance) -Fixed terrain buildability problems (area 2, 7, 8) and also behind summoning center -Earth armor priority bug fixed (finally!) -Element selection (DP) problems (not starting, skipping players) resolved (hopefully, thanks holepercent) -If you fail to select during element selection (DP) then your vote is randomed, this fixes bugs -Relocated Towers/Elements in DP for easier viewing -Relocated Spell Bringers for easier use -Timer for elemental rounds increased to 30 seconds from 20 -Vote kick fails if less than three players remaining -Tower costs across the board standardized (i.e. 1017 to 1000) -Composite armor nerfed to 80% reduction from 75% -Level 1 support triples buffed to 7% from 6% -Endgame (51-60) hp growth modifier nerfed to 1.20 from 1.23 (ronald is 2x hp of 60 btw) -Locomote buffed to 1500 cast range and 750 speed from 1000/500 Element TD 4.0 Beta23.w3x

Interesting insight there holepercent, that may very well be it. The other bug (no random on element no-vote) is known and should be easily fixed. I would not be so fast to dismiss Draft Pick. Just because a bug seems major ("this thing is too buggy") does not mean the bug is hard to kill. Big bugs can be the result of little things. For anyone that cares, I found the solution to the PUI Handle Error bug. Now this seemed like a pretty big bug (towers stop attacking), but the solution was rather simple (though it required testing to come to it). Simply put, dummy units (the orbs from radius, the cluster bombs from gunpowder) were being counted and registered with the damage detection system. This is because a critical check was incomplete, and as a result the index count was going through the roof.

Let me be clear in saying that I'm happy to have your honest opinion. I take it very seriously when a long-time respected member of development is frustrated with the map. I am not one to forget the audience for our game. I'm sure most testers agree that we want to foster a competitive game as the future brand of Element TD. However, and this is with emphasis, we can never forsake the mass of public players who play on Normal and below. It is unacceptable if an experienced Easy player is struggling to complete the game. Some ideas, [*]Nerf the quite possibly ridiculous end game creep hp growth factor. The last ten levels have a factor of 1.23, compared to the starting factor of 1.17. I propose 1.20. I have attached an excel file so you can see what this means. [/*:m:1xd4egsx] [*]Nerf composite waves to 80%.[/*:m:1xd4egsx] [*]Consider easy to implement (i.e. bugless things like adding extra armor, speed, regen etc.) creep modifiers in extreme mode to compliment the 0 timer in an attempt to offer a viable mode to competitive players.[/*:m:1xd4egsx] [*]Buff level 1 triple support to 7%.[/*:m:1xd4egsx] Towers.xls
