  3. That is an overstatement Cisz. The main page should be made for people first, but my word choices in particular sentences were due to bot indexing. I would be happy to entertain any changes you propose, do post them!

  6. Yes, do take note that the 4.0 loadscreen will be saved in a different format than the 3.0 one. So image quality did take a hit, but hopefully not too much (lot of space saved, so it is worth it).
  7. This is more of a placeholder text until someone else comes along and gives you a better explanation. In order to view a replay you must have the same version of WC3 as was used to play (1.21, 1.22 etc.), the exact same map file (Element TD 4.0 Public Beta.w3x) and it must be in the same directory (/download). Others will explain how to change your WC3 version at will (to view older replays), and other nifty things I'm sure.
  8. I like what you have done with the color balance. Not sure about the text, but that is where we could use some help. I think I speak for Vigi- when I say we would appreciate someone coming up with a cool font to use on the loadscreen. It can be built-in, custom, downloaded etc., just good.

    I've hinted this on IRC, but I'll make it clear here. I would like to have another meeting this weekend. We need to review the micro balance changes made, and plan macro balance (groups of towers, creeps etc.). I would like to release B19 shortly after...give it a week to test...
  10. As Sancdar said, these are thematically weak proposals. Where did this idea of "3 ele combinations with a sup dual able to max" come from? That was never the intention, and still isn't. The original problem was that Ice/Poison were too similar. Both proposals solve that, and right now I don't see a reason to go with the one that is thematically weaker. Edit: That came across a tad blunt. I am of course open to reasons why I should go with m0rph1ing's proposal.
  11. Hey Vigi- thanks for taking a shot at this so soon. I do feel that the colors are too bright, and I agree that the font doesn't feel right.

  13. I actually do not remember, and I do not have the .psd...I'd say try and blend it in or simply recreate the text if need be.

  16. Good design demands good compromise. I believe 15k and 20x damage multiplier (double damage and price from current values) is the best solution.
  17. I wouldn't focus too much on these towers, as they won't be making an appearance in the 4.0 release. Long story short; single target slows upset macro balance too much so the only slows left will be the four AoE ones. Edit: I didn't want to avoid your question, but it has been ages since I have used these guys. Generally speaking, you want to place them in positions where creeps do not stay in the line of fire too long (so that they switch targets more often, thus spreading the effect). Position 4 is much better than position 5 for these two towers.
  18. Implementing this is the same as saying that countdown timers have failed to regulate mixed games. I don't believe we have tested the new values, and this is a fair amount of additional work to do (since it isn't straightforward how I am going to make the dialog for difficulty dynamic so it matches your choice). Unless testing can prove the current countdown values do not work, this is something that I would postpone to 4.1.

  20. Welcome to the forums. I hope you enjoy your stay. I am happy to hear that you are familiar with and use GHost++. Another forum member is working on an Element TD league bot (modified GHost++), something that you may be interested in using once it is done. I play on East as well, perhaps starting an Element TD clan would be in order. With bots to keep the channel active, shouldn't be too hard to maintain. I also appreciate that you host so many games per day. I foresee this being extremely valuable in spreading the map around once the 4.0 release comes along.
  21. I have updated the download page, what do you think? Upon reflection, excellent point! It seems so obvious, but it is nonetheless an outstanding idea that will drive traffic to the forums.
  22. I will put it in the quests, and perhaps a dummy ability on the builder (like range).
