  4. Last shot at the release candidate... www.eletd.com/beta is obsolete! File is attached. First: In order to play the beta, you must type -carleton before the first round spawns. If you do not do so, the game will end. Make sure to put to good use the -level, -gold, and -lumber commands. Second: The following things are no cause for concern: -Nothing! Third: Things to test: -Everything...this is it! Really! Fourth: Here is the changelog: -Fixed clones having wrong attack index (i.e. laser/gunpowder super tower is gone) -Magic/Mushroom changed to 9 mana/1 regen (1/2/6 gain on bad buff cast) -jolin012 builder voice change -Random tier 2 entrance to 20 from 25 -Bosses now start at max hp -Game optimized heavily, I mean heavily...the late game will play a lot, lot smoother and if you're interested in how read below...(fixes end-game/Ronald lag, quite possibly Ronald bugs) Optimization: In a nutshell, the private beta change to fix max hp is responsible. Essentially, it runs a mod system that builds up a unit's hp by repetitively using hp modifying abilities. The default setting is a factor of 8 for max power of 2. Thus, 256 was the largest block size available to build up hp. Imagine a Ronald with over 2 million hp, and you understand the problem. I tested level 60 with 8 players and no towers, and my FPS went from 60 down to the 20-30 level the entire time creeps were spawning. I was also getting major spikes. After the change, my FPS stayed at 60+ and everything was smooth. Imagine Ronald which not only spawns 30, but keeps spawning over and over. Presto! What did I do? I changed the factor to 16 for max power of 2. Thus, 65536 is now the largest possible block size. Enjoy. Element_TD_4.0_Beta23c.w3x

    As well as Hydro, and on top of that, I think it's a nicer way of using the towers, more strategy if you ask me. Yes, Hydro too of course. Curious to see what other people think.

  15. Can you edit your program to output some other useful values? Total Ways for 4 Element Builds: Total Ways for 5 Element Builds: Total Ways for 6 Element Builds: Total % for 4 Element Builds: Total % for 5 Element Builds: Total % for 6 Element Builds: Would be really useful to see not only in total, but also after each 5 level increment.
  16. Remember, DotA = Defense of the Ancients. This is a map of the genre AoS (Aeon of Strife). Eul's AoS obviously came before Element TD, because it was on RoC (Reign of Chaos). Guinsoo's AoS (DotA) I'm not sure about, I'd have to see a release date. Icefrog's AoS (DotA too) we certainly came before.

    Help

    Two reasons I made it double the hp of tier 3 elementals, 1. Supposed to own you enough that you don't summon it too early 2. You get the essence first, so with the Pure/Periodic you should be able to kill it

  19. We most definitely had Erupt (Hyrdo Tower) first. It was actually suggested to me on the Wc3C forums.
  20. Neat, that was an interesting read. I just want to confirm, that 25/40 and 20/40 is inclusive meaning you can get tier 2 at 25/20. I suppose I am surprised by the results, but your method is sound. Though I wonder if we can verify this on excel or something just to double check. Numbers are staggering...this is something that can be dealt with easily before because it is pure math. Ignoring 3-ele, there needs to be less 5/6 and more 4.

    In a nutshell, ground attack doesn't work with orbs.
  22. Not sure what you mean. Tier 2 elementals can only be randomed on or after level 25. Tier 3 on or after level 40. I propose going back to 20/40 instead of 25/40.
  23. Undead revive after 5 seconds. Base movespeed (Z) is 300. Healing heals everything around it.
