Easiest thing would be to download the image for the "Post Reply" image (.png for Black Pearl) and edit it.

Indeed, there have been some improvements. Here is a list, [*]http://feeds2.feedburner.com/EleTD[/*:m:151ftkt5] [*]Categorized Announcements and Stickies[/*:m:151ftkt5] [*]Activity within last 24 hours[/*:m:151ftkt5] [*]Meta Tags for SEO[/*:m:151ftkt5] [*]Quick Reply![/*:m:151ftkt5] @Sancdar/Everyone: If the Fast Reply for Black Pearl theme looks weird, you're welcome to design a better button image and I will replace it.

This is the release candidate... You must use the following info: Username: tester Password: carleton First: In order to play the beta, you must type -carleton before the first round spawns. If you do not do so, the game will end. Make sure to put to good use the -level, -gold, and -lumber commands. Second: The following things are no cause for concern: -Nothing? Third: Things to test: -Draft Pick! -Terrain! -Healing! Fourth: Here is the changelog: -Healing waves lost the 1% per second regeneration, now they heal for 20% of max hp in 250 AoE upon death -Fast waves buffed to 375 movespeed up from 350 -Mechanical waves now debuff themselves before activating shield -Void's terrain 2.0 -Level 3 elementals now 7.5x stronger than level 2 (previously 5x) -When you research an essence you now get a nice little surprise! -Pures now 15x damage down from 20x, cost to 11254 from 15006 -Extreme mode creeps now have 1% heal but no speed bonus -Short/Extra Short mode gold abuse removed -Draft Pick implemented, nuff said, works with short/extra short -Monsoon now resets the ability cooldown when first upgraded -Splash (Tidal) renamed to Douse (Tsunami) so that both use same name/hotkey -Teleport renamed/reiconed to Locomote Element TD 4.0 Beta22.w3x

Can you elaborate more please?
-
You will be happy to know that a lot of performance optimizations have been made to the map. These should be enough to alleviate your problems (a lot were made), but if not we can revisit this idea in the future (4.1...).
-
Can you elaborate on this more? When do you type -random, before or after you select the modes?
-
I actually like Void's idea. Yes, I just released the (hopefully) last private beta...
-
I just released the private beta that is the release candidate...

Figured you guys deserved a teaser after so much delay, so without further ado... elementtd.jpg

Here is a snapshot of current status. I am waiting for exciting cosmetic changes to be completed, and I am finishing up Draft Pick mode. Once both are square, I will be releasing the (hopefully) final private beta.

It is rather suspicious that they decided to use a news announcement to proclaim common knowledge. It seems to me that they have something planned. But, I don't think they will interfere with legitimate bots.

holepercent, when are you coming?

We are taking our last steps before the 4.0 release in my opinion...

I have spent a long time thinking about how to find a compromise between the first version and the current version. I've compiled my ideas here. I hope to catch you on MSN soon. [*]Area 1: -I know this to be your favorite area. It has really grown on me. Nearly perfect. However, I think it needs some minor sprucing up. For a Dalaran Cityscape it is a little barren. Perhaps benches, rising energy particle field(s), townsfolk, critters, light posts, other structures etc..[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 2: -I think this area is too similar to Area 4 (more on this below). I strongly propose a Darkness/Fire area here. For Darkness you had it perfectly before; blight, dead trees, skeletons, corpses etc.. For Fire, you also had it just about right; with that red ground texture, those reddish mountain rocks, the fires etc.. I think the dirt cliff would work better here.[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 3: -I like that you filled this area with water. I don't think it looks "Sunken Ruinish" or "Tropical" enough though. The trees are kind of lame, there isn't enough rubble or overgrown vines, the tile for where you build isn't right, perhaps some birds or other critters etc.. I think dirt cliff would work better here.[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 4: -Nearly perfect in my opinion. I'd recommend minor sprucing up i.e. rocks, trees, torches etc..[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 5: -Nearly perfect. Is there anyway to de-emphasize the nature aspect slightly and emphasize the earth aspect more in place?[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 6: -This area never really grew on me, and I don't think it is unique. I strongly propose a Water/Light area here instead. If you can get ice for Water (ice tile, icy doodads etc.), then I think the way you did Light originally was just about right for this mixture. I think dirt cliff would work better here.[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 7: -I think this area should stay Darkness/Light, but I really don't like how this one is currently. Any chance of a complete remake of this area ?[/*:m:3e7li3bu] [*]Area 8: -Nearly perfect. I'd recommend minor sprucing up i.e. more totem, torches, flags, rocks etc..[/*:m:3e7li3bu] Other List (part of the reason for requests above): 1. Light/Nature 2. Darkness/Fire* 3. Water/Nature 4. Nature/Earth 5. Water/Earth* 6. Water/Light* 7. Light/Darkness 8. Fire/Earth *= Theme change from what Void last gave me (in my opinion) Light = 3 Darkness = 2 Water = 3 Fire = 2 Nature = 3 Earth = 3

Assuming such cross-platform compatibility is possible (they usually use older versions on Garena too, don't they).
-
Thank you for letting us know. Good luck with recovery, I hope it goes faster than expected.
-
Void, would you be kind enough to generate screenies of each area?
-
Ironic that you decided to post today. I was personally hoping to have it out by my birthday, but alas it is not so. We are literally at the last steps though. Sometime this week I will release the next private beta, and it will have the last significant changes before release. From there, release should only be tweaks away. We are working hard to bring you guys an unparalleled experience. I know the wait has been long, but we wanted to ensure that 4.0 is a worthy successor to the PB. Trust that there is a lot to look forward to.
