  1. That becomes a moot point once the medium changes. As you pointed out, WC3 is dead. 4.2 and beyond only exist as experimentation for things to come. On that note, 4.3 will prove interesting . Perhaps you have some other critique on why this version sucks beyond the performance issues? So far your biggest complaints seem to be the upgrade key and the lag... Do you think if the game was the same as it was back in 2007 that anybody would still care about it? Element TD has evolved, simple as that. I was hoping for some more useful feedback from you...but so far you've only complained about things that are meaningless. Edit: You did mention a couple of gameplay problems in the first post, but glossed over them. Focus on what matters the most.
  2. You will need to play version 4.1 or lower. 4.1b requires 1.24 as well.

  4. That is an interesting idea and I am certainly not opposed to allowing shift multitasking. I honestly don't know if the build animation can be disabled...it may be model specific...but if it can be I will do it.
  5. I'm trying to isolate this bug for the next version. I have a hunch but need confirmation from people who have experienced this problem. What I need to know regards the towers that are able to continue attacking when this glitch occurs. If my hunch is correct, then all of the following towers should be immune to this bug: -Any single element tower -Magic/Sorcery/Wizardry -Life/Eternal/Soul Catcher -Well/Trickery/Blacksmith (and upgrades) -Flesh Golem/Patchwork Abomination -Polar/Enchantment/Corrosion/Muck/Windstorm/Roots/Voodoo/Nova (and upgrades) -Hail/Comet -Gold/Wealth Thanks!

  8. Some of the problematic towers that you mentioned, mainly Mushroom, Hydro, Poison, Vapor, and Oblivion are not that agreeable to me either. They are certainly on the axing block for future versions. The other towers I find interesting but won't digress about my disagreement. In regards to Ronald, I tried to accelerate the process relatively recently. But, I agree that it is still boring so I will give this some thought. I like your idea regarding random elemental, so I may implement it. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your feedback. I am glad that you enjoy the game.

  10. No, I wouldn't say that. Everyone has a say in ETD development; especially people we know to be competent players. I hope that you give 4.2c a few more chances and post your feedback. I fully agree with you in regards to WC3. We are working on moving to another platform. PS: You have brought up build times before...but the ironic thing is that I actually shortened them from 3.0 to 4.0. Test it!

  14. I could make one for you but I would prefer if people share their opinions. I have a couple ideas for these TextSplats (floating text) that I want to try in the next version. The reason we moved away from the default floating text is because there is a global limit of 100...after that they don't get created. That sucks when you have 8 players and a lot of action.
  15. I don't see this as any different than cheating in singleplayer. As mentioned above, it has no impact on multiplayer or replay submissions. Thus, there is no reason to do anything about it...just like how I don't disable cheats (I could easily stop you from using greedisgood etc..).
  16. That is part of the skill required for high level play. If used correctly, Impulse towers have an above average DPS. It is not fair if the game does the work for you by targeting the furthest creep. That being said, I think a minimum range could be a viable way of helping lower level people (less skilled or lazier) without impacting high level usage. Perhaps something like 500 minimum range...?
  17. Thank you for the replays. I hope to figure out the cause of this for the next version. Though this is a fake version, the bug may be the same. Can anyone else confirm whether it happens upon a player's death or some other event?

    I did not get a chance to watch the replay so if you didn't do this then simply ignore this tip. You are absolutely right in your strategy. I just felt I would point out that it should never be done at the expense of lives. From my own experience I have leaked countless times because I was trying to build the bare minimum possible. The interest gained at any particular tick is not worth a life or more.

    No, it is not. The most recent version is 4.2b, which you can always find on the website.
  20. To the right of where you can select your race, there is an option to select what team you are on. To move positions within a team, all you need to do is select the team you are already on. It will move you to the next open spot on that team. Repeat until you are where you want to start (based on the color of the spot).
  21. I would say that for builds you should focus on 4/5/6 element ones. If for no other reason, you will get more exposure and experience to all the combinations.
  22. Yes, this should be possible in any version. If memory serves me right, you will be given the player's choice series of dialogs (like if host decided option 2). But that is only an inconvenience...everything should still end up working the same after dialogs are done.
