  1. sorry to elaborate/discuss Schmetterschupf's idea in this thread, move post if needed. But it's a good idea, cause when there's a VE rusher at, say, area /, there are these 25 seconds until next wave so i can handle it, but if I'm on random the boss woun't wait those 25 sec, the boss will come immediately just a second after the wave before the boss, like a part of the line, and that makes it impossible to play vs a racer of a lower difficulty. So, how about , just like Schmetterschupf sais, you can manually launch the random boss. That means all the regular buttons of the research center are gone, and replaced by a one and only "?" "Random" button. That would also solve the problems for everybody saying "Where is my lumber?". However, there is a problem, if it's samerandom, the first guy to summon his boss is unaware of which boss it will be, while the others can watch what another player summons, to prepare a defense before summonning the same one himself.
  2. how about a nature tower at area - ? with spread creeps it has at least 7 shots on each creep if using some slowing towers on the creeps' ways to -. (warning, a very slow ronald hunt)

  5. I think that IF there'd be a rule, it'd be more like "all players in the game must play in VH" because it doesn't really matter if there's other in the game as long as they can's slow down the game, and they can't unless on easier difficulty.
  6. Ah, when you put it that way JustKidz is completely right. and, is there a rule needed before an example is provided? Maybe not, but there still is a bit problem if somebody does provide a replay of this, in hope of winning the challange, and we have to add the rule after, and disqualify him for not following a rule that didn't exist or allow that replay but add the rule after, and none after him will even have the chance to beat him^^. I think that this can be abused, maybe that VE player isn't actually an oponent of the VH player, but a Friend of him, who helps him abuse that the rule is missing . I don't know wether if my opinion wants a rule for it or not... there is a rule against bugs found may not be abused, which protects from most "cheats" found, but it doesn't protect from this...
  7. erm... put that the other way and it's correct, very easy players get more time between rounds to gain more interest, and they have advantage of that, aswell as they have advantage of lots easier killing. And, there is allready the rule that all must play on veryhard difficulty. Players that posted replays on other difficulties have misunderstood the rules. (or knew the rules but knew no other place to post there replay even though it's out of the challange)

Err, no, he's in very easy, although there is nothing wrong with that @TheNewOne: nice RonaldHunt but, if you want to Attempt to fight this challange, you have to play on VeryHard Difficulty (read the rules on page 1) And for everyone to know, There is a new thread with the new rules, and the new hall of fame located here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=881 But, that one is not to spam in, just to post the replay and which entry one wishes to join, discussion could be done here, 13est said.

    Allright, I think it's time to start off this challange, I start off with a sucky and leaky replay of gold tower, no interest no pure, and no other element than earth and light at 3 tiers. time 59:15 and 3 lives left. It's very possible to do that better, so go ahead anyone else who reads this.   13. sorry, currently SM shortmode is not allowed in the Great Ronald hunt, (it's in the rules) but, popularity seems to be increasing, and i personally would like shortmode to be allowed there.

    yeah, it's probably the hardest one, without any slow or booster(armor reducer, well and such) with only thing a disable, roots, which can be hard to use correctly without really abusing it, like old gem, but it is possible, although I'm not sure if it's possible to no leak it.

  19. during the time testing public beta I've several times come across these 2 nasty bugs. One is The "Stop-Attack" bug. Towers just stop attack automaticly. They can get started up again by manually forcing them to attack (and thyey're back to normal) but, That's often too late, when an enitre wave is often leaked. It most often happens with the mushroom tower, but has occured to me with other towers as well. The Game crash bug has occured about 5 times to me. Offline Singleplayer, Online as host, and Online joining a game. When it happened online all players got game crash/fatal error. What I noticed is that when it happens, it's always in shortmode+random, if I remember correctly samerandom. it happened when the 3 eles are going to be randomized, instead of a the usual minor lag, game crashed. There's no replay as replays aren't saved when game crashes, neither as "lastreplay", but there are many who could confirm it i guess. Maybe it has something to do with those 3 randomed eles? if they random to something the game doesn't like then kaboom? attack bug.w3g

  21. I decided to record a replay of lvl 1-13. It's not perfect, but should work for featuring the arrow opening, WITH dark as first element, (and water as second). I also show how to catch a leak, (because I do leak due to talking ). Do miss sell at 5 sometimes also.. however, it should be ok at least. jolin012 level 1-13.w3g

Yes, we are interested in viewing your replay if you want, maybe we can provide you some helpful feedback and perhaps you can beat veryhard one day If you feel like: browse around the strategy section and read some feedback othe players looking for help got, maybe check out Cisz tower placement guide (located here: http://eletd.com/tower-placement.php ). Unlike Cisz I can get enough of replays, but that is when continuing to watch after an hour of ronald slaying
  23. right, I only have a plan for level 1-6. level 7-13 varies depending on which elements I get, (and the creps if on chaosmode). But it's good to remember things sush as: a super essective element does double damage a super arrow tower does a thrid of the damage of an elemental tower. So - if you pick or random darkness, you can instead of 2 elemental towers at tier 13 (water level) build only one darkness arrow tower, (and something at area 5) ok, honestly, I woulodn't do that. I would start improvising more right there. While you have the opportunity to sell (arrows and cannons always sell for 100%) at interest timers "1" It's such a waste to have 300 unspent cash. I would build 2 darkness cannons at 4 and 2 advanced or normal cannons at 5. The darkness cannons at 4 would finish off half the wave at a fairily good interest timeing, and quickly sell them and upgrade the normal cannons (advanced if you need more time ->gain less cash) and then upgrade those at 5 into darkness cannons, finish off the rest of the creeps, then sell. a super arrow does the third damage of an elemental tower. that means, fir level 7, you could instead build 3 super towers, either if you random extra investment, or an element extra weak at level 7. There is a problem here. It's very hard to place 3 arrows that will attack the same creep. There is no known placement, at least at area 4, that almost always (nothing works all the time ) to make 3 arrows hit the same creep, both on first and 2nd pass. So? what to do? While they don't hit the same creep, you know that there will be overkills, perhaps 2 of the arrows at some point attack the same, and fire twice each on a creep who needs only 3 hits. One Idea is to spread them, another idea is to switch to cannons. One idea is to just overbuild with more than you need, which you will probably need in any case, except for one case. This thing is called manual targeting, you force your group of arrows manually to attack the same creep. This works only as host, in single player, or with a very good connection to the host. You will no longer be able to sell towers at area 5, but that ain't a big deal if you don't overbuild there.
  24. ah right, with EN for L9 was meant for arrows, such as if you play Chaosmode, and level 9 happens to not be an undead level. As for level 9 in non chaos mode, if not having the element of fire, spam super cannons at area 4, as close to each other as possible. If needed, relocate your defense too. Why they must stick together in a small bunch is because the trick of plash on undead is that if all creeps are killed at the same spot, creeps will revive next to another target, and won't need an extra shot. Therefore, it's better on higher levels, like 21, to not spam super cannons, but fewer, stronger, splashers. Edit: A straight forward replay for all these 13 levels, here's one, both for me and cisz in this replay, however, we do use fire to kill lvl 9 (and don't mind that we use longpass for it, actually it's not good but just in that situation it's ok.) http://eletd.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=757
  25. hey bitterface, and welcome to the board About the opening, Most of us around here use area 4(when we talk of areas we refer to numpad layout http://eletd.com/images/numpadlayout.JPG ) , arrows for level 1-13 (if playing pick) except for lvl 9 which needs cannons. Read a lot of useful things here if you have time: http://eletd.com/tower-placement.php It's cisz tower placement guide. How many arrows you need for each level? You don't have to to the math read here instead viewtopic.php?f=30&t=792&p=6851&hilit=6ss#p6851 My post there should contain what's needed.
