  1. Tell that to karawasa.. More stuff is being added rather than fixing existing bugs.. things that could probably wait and not delay the release.. Like waiting for terrian to be complete before releasing rather than releasing something then adding it when it comes.. of course most appreciate the work done but it shouldn't delay the release..

  3. Don't be stuck with the mindset of the 'best' build. What used to work well may have changed.. try builds with no support triples (support triples don't dominate the game anymore), or even without triples! (it is doable, just slower and with leaks) Try other builds... the game can be completed with all, if not most 4-element, 5-element and 6-element builds. noleak would be a real challenge but shouldn't be impossible. get some ideas from build project.. Refine the builds there and you can get somewhere close to noleak, if not 0 leaks.. Upgrading seems to be the way to go.. even against weakness where a weak element tier3 dual is probably stronger than a large mass of strong element tier1 or tier2s.. tier1 duals have almost no damage mid-end game. which probably goes back to game balance and how to best balance the towers and the overall game difficulty. extreme mode with random buffs would be fun.. +armour, +speed, +1% healing, wave that gives extra gold/lives? but yes, probably the game is too hard now.. even if it can be completed.. at the start the game was balanced with pick in mind rather than random..

  5. elemental arrows still sell for 100%.. there are ways to watch old version replays using evercraft or versionchanger.. although it's quite troublesome.. if not just wait for new replays..
  6. With the new healing, is slow and splash still the best build? or is a ST tower based build just as competitive? Splash is stronger only against undead. ST towers have an advantage against healing, fast, mechnical. last replay for build project was based on gold, electricity, quark with blacksmith, trickery support. only splash towers were endgame pure earth and fire.

  8. same here.. getting a full house is never difficult for me.. i put pros only in game name and announce the modes before game starts.. almost all stay to play (even if they are eventually out before host starts leaking)...
  9. 2-player draft pick test. elemental draft phrase is bugged if both (all?) players don't pick anything. the timer keeps restarting and prompting the player to select.. until there is totally no more options left.. -22 picks left? the game would never start.. and other weird building spots.. including building on the path itself! draft test 2p.w3g
  10. well.. but take your time.. may the elements go with you.. a trickery tower to clone a good hand. a well tower to speed up the process. a blacksmith tower to improve the strength.

Anyone for draft #6? and this will hopefully be draft pick... although again, time zones would be challenging.. the reason for forum drafts to go on still but played in single player using the mode to avoid building removed towers/summoning non-drafted elementals (well unless misclick and remove the wrong towers/elementals during the selection).. anyway.. post if interested and times available to play...
  12. it isn't too difficult to complete VH (with leaks) even with poor micro.. but good micro is definately needed for a chance at a noleak replay. tower choices and placement is always more important.. it is very possible to complete without any mirco towers at all.. the last replay for build project didn't feature much mirco apart from the early impulse micro (where it's the only mirco tower in play).. tornado was out of place a fair amount of time.
  13. The new healing would feel overpowered sometimes, especially in random and if misplayed. probably tower choices is more important than ever. more importantly is the need to adapt and realise that maybe slow and splash isn't the only way to complete the game..
  14. replay with some of the issues.. random works? i though you said there was no random mode.. elemental pick not randomed if timer runs out. weird building space behind elemental summoning centre towers sold without refund, what shows as buildable on the first row of area /. draft test.w3g
  15. the new healing perhaps? aoe heal on death instead of the 1% constant healing.. and i think fast is faster.. or maybe some towers and elements were removed for that game? heh..
  16. Finally a new beta. First up. terrain. The terrian is cleaner now.. however, there are some weird building spaces.. the area behind the summoning centre and to the left and right of it are entirely buildable. Building at the very top row of / causes the tower to be sold without refund. next. Draft Pick. Nice the mode got implemented. Some bugs. i tested this in single player. If you do not pick during the elemental draft phrase and let the timer run, nothing gets picked when the timer runs out instead of randoming out the picks. At the start of the game, you can type -random. In sm or xsm, this allows the starting elementals to be randomed out. However, when the lumber comes and the game summons a elemental, the game crashes. finally. final balance checks.

  19. there're plans for 4.1, 4.2 etc.. so it's more rounds of beta testing..
  20. final private beta should be released soon. get draft pick tested. if no major bugs / imbalances, next release should be the 4.0..
  21. not sure if related but has anyone else seen when upgarding a water tower (especially) to amplified water, sometimes a earth tower model appears for a second..

    Mass Windstorm!

    It was known before that the damage of the slows stacked but not the slow itself.. mass windstorm was played before in randOOm.. but doing something non-standard/"against the normal way of playing" that works out is always fun..
  23. as said, cisz's tower placement guide is already on the site. it covers the concepts based on 3.0.. my current guide has some very basic placement stuff.. if not, wait for my completed guide after official 4.0 releases... which i hope to somehow try to make a random guide of sorts (my draft plan is something like pick a few waves and what tower were built), together with completing all 22 builds. (15 4-ele, 6 5-ele and 6-ele ) .. the best way to learn random is keep playing.. experience counts mostly in picking the right towers, once you are very familiar with every tower.
