  1. yes.. one with more leaks but a faster game, one with less leaks but a slower game. and net and ronalds give the same points for top 2.. so points-wise, as per draft scoring, it is a tie.. and yes.. read the beta release post carefully.. a new mode in b19b..
  2. 3X is probably too much and reduce the use of duals again. On a side note: think about whether the imbalance is due to duals too strong. It can be that the tier1 triples are weaker by too much compared to the tier2 duals. Compare playing a 4-element and 5-element build. 4-ele build is mostly dual-based while 5-ele is somewhat more triple-based.

    finally...

don't stay with amplified towers.. upgrade to duals/triples immediately. it's better to stay with arrows and cannons if you do not intend to build the duals straight away. this is the opening amplified fire and water towers. Tower placement. most of your towers should be at a 2-pass placement. Only a few towers belong to long pass. know the meaning of 2-pass and long pass? refer to cisz's tower placement guide. 2 windstorms isn't really necessary. get one of each of the 4 slows (roots, muck, nova, winstorm)instead. the impulse tower and tidal tower were kind of late.. not really the best choice of towers there. oblivion isn't really recommended.. Build the support duals well and blacksmith as soon as you have 4 towers. each well or smith supports 4 damage towers. Support towers are key for 4pb. the 4 aoe slows, corrosion and enchantment, voodoo and polar. damage there's zealot and quaker. maybe this replay may be of some help, tower choices and placement.
  4. i've replaced it already.. his other replay was submitted to me before the draft closed. uploaded to results post.
  5. hm.. haven't been checking for removed elementals and towers.. lol.. give you the chance. i'll take your other replay for the score..
  6. it's a 4pb replay.. named wrongly.. i was playing as well..
  7. count the number of quark tier3s put into play in all the replays..
  8. Sign ups open for #5.. probably the last one.. b19b will have the mode inbuilt...
  9. quark and gold really got the scrutiny.. onto the results kirby/7/42.34/166548/54 lesher/2/45:35/128704/101 kaini 31/53:12/104516/8 4beta_lesher2.w3g 4beta_kaini.w3g 4beta_kirby.w3g
  10. The draft is closed! Final call for all replays..
  11. might as well play pick where each player controls what he wants for himself.. random is that. random. it's supposed to be totally random and no one should be able to decide what comes out.. to the suggestion. if the element that comes out isn't what he voted for, it's almost equal to getting a totally random element. if the player gets the element he voted for, that isn't really fair to the other players as he would have picked that element for a purpose. besides, that'll take too much time for what isn't a major strategic improvement.. if you would want a restricted set of elements, play vote random.. or wait for a new mode coming up.. there are draft plans for a team mode of some sort, not really for the official 4.0 release but it is an idea that is in potential development.
  12. probably you'll heard of it on irc.. good chance i'll be making the trip from singapore to europe.. exact dates to be confirmed but probably not the full period..
  13. think of the shock and surprise when the 4pb players play the official 4.0.. it's really a totally different game.. back to topic. 6-ele build, all support, quaker and zealot, ending with periodic is the easiest. if you do decide to try 4-element builds, you could refer to my guide, scroll down to see some brief notes on all 15 4-element builds.. the best way to improve, as mentioned, post a replay of your game.. then we can give more specific pointers. doesn't matter if you leak a lot, didn't finish the game or ve difficulty.. there are learning points in every game..

All drafters have 168 hours (7 days) from the time of this post to submit your final replay by PM. Replay files can be attached! So no external filehosting sites are needed anymore You can submit replays early and replace it with another replay anytime until draft closes. Scoring and winning replay Replay with LOWEST score wins. Final score will the sum of each component below. Leaks (least to most) : 1,3,4,5,7 Time taken (fastest to slowest) : 1,3,4,5,7 Networth (highest to lowest) : 1,1,2,2,3 Ronalds killed (most to least) : 1,1,2,2,3 explaination: eg. for leaks, the replay with the fewest leaks will score one point. the 2nd lowest leaks will score 3 points and so on. therefore, replay with most leaks scores 7 points. in case of ties, all will receive the lower score. Time taken is until victory message appears. This excludes the ronald hunt. Best build design will have 2 points subtracted from the replay's total score. best build design will be picked by me. ( as per draft traditions where best build design is picked by host). This condition may not be used if there is a clear winner.
  17. interesting.. so kirby has one element pick now.. unless a 4th $ is drafted which cannot be put into play.. and someone else would have to draft the light.. or no pure light?
  18. One old strategy was to have 2 sets of tier1 trickery towers. copying alternate. use one set to copy, clones disappear, use 2nd set to copy. once clones from 2nd set disappear, the 1st set cooldown is over and ready to be used again..
  19. the pb trickery tower was bugged and didn't work properly if i can remember. the private betas feature a working trickery which serves to give a short-term boost to defenses.
  20. It remains a mystery.. been raised before but so far no one knows the answer..
  21. ELEMENT DRAFT PHRASE Draft order: 1st pick: DDRKirby(ISQ) 2nd pick: lesher 3rd pick: DevouringOne 4th pick: m0rph1ing 5th pick: kaini 6th pick: kaini 7th pick: m0rph1ing 8th pick: DevouringOne 9th pick: lesher 10th pick: DDRKirby(ISQ) 11th pick: DDRKirby(ISQ) 12th pick: lesher 13th pick: DevouringOne 14th pick: m0rph1ing 15th pick: kaini For your pick, pick a element and it's corresponding tier, for example, fire tier 3. You can pick higher tiers without needing the lower tiers to be drafted first. No repeats. Interest and extra pures must also be drafted if you wish to have either interest/extra pure available for summoning. I will not be adding either into the pool at the end. The tier is important. read the original draft thread for some explaination of the importance of specifying the tier. 3 picks only per player. 15 picks in TOTAL by all 5 players. Each player contributes 3 to make the final 15. DDRKirby(ISQ): 1st, 10th, 11th pick lesher: 2nd, 9th, 12th pick DevouringOne: 3rd, 8th, 13th pick m0rph1ing: 4th, 7th, 14th pick kaini: 5th, 6th, 15th pick please wait for your turn. ensure that the drafter who is before you has made his choice before you make yours. keep to the order above. to help others, include the pick number when making your choice. therefore, the first post by kirby should be something like 1st pick: fire tier3 second post by lesher would be something like 2nd pick: water tier3 and so on... First drafter can take some time to think through before starting. Consider what towers have been removed. It may be good draft strategy to start with something like fire/water/earth tier3. Tier3s and tier2s usually make good choices for the first few picks. Remember, some diplomacy is part of the draft. You could include comments about your choice of element picks to influence other players. Have fun!
  22. everyone is so impulsive..
