agreed with jolin, i think leaving interest in is fine. but i also agree with the general consensus that the time is too short--especially considering that in AP you have to be picking your elements during that time as well...

boring replay for the most part, i wasn't doing much. Fastforward to wave 55 where two watery minions somehow become untargetable (except for roots?) and I can't kill them at ALL. Then I manage to kill some of my own towers by a-clicking. However its only certain towers at certain spots that I manage to attack. And sometimes the attacks do no damage (while other times it really does destroy my own tower). randombugs.w3g

arrows and cannons build fast enough though. the others could be faster.

ah. that explains everything. thanks for the clarification. I think this happened when i was playing 3.0 one time with cheats just for fun as well. Cool *thumbs up*

have not tested gunpowder or flame yet. normal fps is about 60 or so. When I fill 4 and 5 with amplified water towers the fps goes down to about 20-25. When i fill it with ice towers its about a 10 fps drop from that, about 10-15. jolin's replay was also a lagfest for me. Kaini's got us beat! Guess it's because of my subpar graphics card...

=( Happened twice so far. Only under testing conditions though, so maybe it will be fine when I do an actual game without -gold or -lumber cheats and unnatural amounts of elementals/towers, etc. When the game crashes I simply get dumped back out to windows and Warcraft3 is completely gone. Will investigate further. the first time may have been due to killing too many elementals at once. the second time may have been due to mass gunpowder. Or perhaps killing too many elementals at once with gunpowder. Will test this theory later.

Ok I'll try in easy sentences I have to improfe my English. I think building time should not get decreased, it shoult take more time. Because IMHO it is important to think about the timeing, like in 3.0. In 4.0PB you can update you towers neary evertime without leaking. I don't remember 3.0 at all (have never played it seriously. Can't even remember if I played 3.0 or some RC beta version, but it was a long time ago and only a few times if any), so maybe that's why I am not understanding. In 4.0 pb when I am playing a run-of-the-mill VHSR singleplayer game I have support towers at 9 and 3, and I mass damage towers at 6. I can sell/rebuild the group of damage towers at 6 between every wave, every time, pretty much. Is that what you are talking about? So you don't want that to be possible? If building/upgrading towers took a longer time, I would STILL be able to sell/rebuild the group of damage towers every time. I would just not be able to be quite as aggressive in terms of last-minute building/upgrading. It depends on the state of the interest timer, of course... In 4.0pb I am always "thinking about the timing"--My eyes are always on the interest timer so I can sell just before it hits and build right after (in late game this changes to: start building as timer approaches 5..4..3..2..1 because building/upgrading takes longer at that point in the game). Sorry, maybe try to illustrate your point with a hypothetical example comparing the two extremes? =/

pally first is viable (though imho not very "elegant") vs UD. i wouldn't choose him first in a 2v2, but it's not really terrible either. again HU is my worst race anyways. the knight/gryph/innerfire/devotion combo works. No way to stop it, at least not as orc =P Bats are a joke against that. Only hope is zerkers maybe. yeah it seems like RT would mostly be about massing tech/expo. have you ever done any "fun" or "innovative" strats that actually stand a chance? I'm always looking out for those. You have to be GOOD to pull most of them off though, that's the part that sucks. But I would love to have an off-the-wall strat that i can actually use in a 2v2. IMHO it should be a little more possible in 2v2 than in 1v1 where everybody does cookie-cutter. Iono, something like UD/Orc Pitlord/fiendshee with spirit link or something. I remember one replay where Axslav randomed UD in 2v2 and got Alchemist first and hacked the shit out of all the other heroes. Alchy with an orb of corruption, plus unholy frenzy. And frost wyrms are like flying liches. Yummy... It doesn't happen all that often, but have you ever seen a Blademaster with orb of corruption? Damn, that shit is is intense o_o;

don't really know if it's necessary maybe a command like "-1life" or something that can be called by each player. That way when Cisz and jolin go into a bnet game they can show off and give themselves a handicap

but of course, same as the gap between wave 60 and ronalds-- If interest still applies, I personally will always be pressured to build in the last 15 second interval possible. so a longer delay wont help me. BUT that's just me and my frantic playstyle. I can live with anything here.

@Kaini can you rephrase that? I couldn't quite understand. Wait, faster build speed? Imagine what my replays will look like now... The faster builder movement helps my building as well. I'm excited already =p. Personally I think I don't really desire faster building speed or upgrades, as much as I desire more "constant" building speed/upgrades. I mean how the higher tier towers always take longer to upgrade. This stifles my playstyle a little bit lategame. Of course this might not be the best decision in terms of balance (having pures/periodic take a long time to upgrade makes sense) but I'm just saying what my mind wishes for whenever i'm playing SR.

i mean i dont play RT so i'm not used to having to carry the team. but i couldn't tell what the heck you were going for/trying to do. mass tier 1 FE into eventual gryphs? why pally first? egh...whatever. i dont distrust your skill, i just think it's odd. But as you said, you were being lazy

hydro doesn't target creeps that are in the air? Really??? wow. never knew that. How does that work? I mean obviously it still fires on creeps in the air in certain situations (i.e. elementals when it's the only target available)...

In the lower-right menu, if you do not have the correct elements to build a specific tower, it always tells you that "[element] level 3" is required, even for basic element towers (in which case it should be level 1.
