Hm, you are doing pretty good. I guess your main problem is placement. Your monsoon has massive slowing powers, and I would suggest you use more splash dmg, and keep your dmg towers closer to the monsoon. You can place more quakers around 7 and 5 and Ice does most dmg on a short pass, so it doesn't fire at the same creep over and over again. How about a short demonstration: 1776_Etd_4pb_vh__monsoon_n_e.w3g

Yes, understandable, we misunderstood each others. I meant "add", not "instead of". 3-ele-builds, though sometimes possible, are not the way to play eletd. Go for lwfn. And I guess you don't know the secret to tidal: It charges an extra attack that can hit everything within it's range, but you have to manually fire that one.

Same here, "unread" functionality does not exist yet.

Ok, much better. Now I'll try to help. I have three suggestions and a concept for you. 1 - I would summon lv2 elements later. I'd go for interest at wave 20 instead. I would say, the eles are not needed that early, and you have a hard time killing them. 2 - I place light towers (as any tower with 1500 range) in the middle of the map (around where your steam/vapor is). They can reach all outer lanes that way. Try it, it's a difference. 3 - I would get monsoon sooner. And a concept: Damage types. You are aware how the 6 elemental damage types work? If not, please ask, and I'll explain the basics; for now I assume you know what I am talking about. If you build towers, you get weaknesses. I don't see towers as sollutions to a wave, who cares if one wave is easy. It's the hard waves that kill me. You have a lot of light dmg, so you get a weakness vs earth. Guess which wave killed you. And you have loads of fire, so water is bad for you. You leak 24 (water mech), 30 (earth undead), 36 (water), lots of 41 (water undead), and ofc 43 (healing earth). You leak others too, but barely. So as my new concept: Treat every dmg type as a weakness. You build fire dmg? You have to find a sollution for water waves. You want light? How do you cover against earth. To fully cover a build, you need all 3 of the two subsets f-d-e or w-l-n. Your build only has wlf, so you can't cover every weakness. I suggest you either add nature to your build, or try for an incomplete cover with water as your main damage and some light against dark waves. This will leave you weak vs earth, but only a bit, as your main dmg is water. Try 3 parts water and 1 part light. Does this make sense to you? Ask if not. Next replay pls.

Only one of them, and only a short distance, but still: One undead was caught by heading the wrong way in a one way maze. Allmost the end of this replay: 1774_Etd_4b23c_avh_sr_sm_cm__d_jolin_undead_backtracking.w3g

Jolin says this has been the case for ages: If you have golems in play, the area they were built on is sometimes unbuildable. Jolin say, it's when they are close to their building site.

You are good, in fact you are to good to play on very easy. You make some smaller mistakes, but unless you make them in a replay on at least normal difficulty, I refuse to teach you anything.

Why - to compensate for the randomeness. Let me clarify even more: Quaker, drowning, hydro have a higher dmg/sec than other towers of the same level/kind. Hydro does more dmg than electricity. Drowning outperforms zealot.

For now it is, yes.

This is a spam thread until someone proves me wrong. Closed.

Poeple, please slow down here, and concentrate. We are mixing two different bugs here. This thread is not about trickeries size changes to copies. Not it is not. Please open a new thread for this, if there is none yet. This thread is ONLY about the "very big, woa, that thing is huuuge" bug, which is totally unrelated to trickery, but is probably caused by well. Just because jolin found a third bug, mixing both, doesn't mean we are talking about trickery here. So focus, play well games, reproduce bug, ignore trickery.

I suggest that the 5th and 6th pick have an increased chance to be lv2 eles. because the problem is not how many eles I get, it's their levels. In 4.0 I need to level up, no matter how many eles I'll end my game with.

SC2 should have a built in custum ladder and automatic custom tourney.
-
You guys are aware that all rnd towers do a bigger average dmg than non rnd towers to compensate for the randomness? So in general you will do better using them? The dev team will make you happy.

I liked turquoise dreams too, but black pearl is better. I guess turquoise dreams was removed, bacause this deal only covers 5 free skins.

Pardon my rude intruding, but I wanted to make sure to remind you all to fix the map's file name. When you download the mapfile, it will look like this: Element_TD_4.0_Beta23c.w3x This has to be changed to this: Element TD 4.0 Beta23c.w3x All underscores ("_") have to be changed to spaces. Please take this time to keep the naming of maps and folders the same for all players.

Now I know what it has been gnawing, my ethernet cable is broken. Newsflash The mouse has been seen in the living room. No, now it's in the kitchen. I set two traps and hope.

And yes, that's a bug.

I guess some posters here don't understand what "6-ele" means. It does not mean "all level 1", it means "at the end of the game I have each ele at least once". A typical 6 ele could look like this: FNW-NWF-L-L-E-D-W. So nowadays you have to start with a 4 ele build, and later on it makes equal sense to level up into 4 ele or to add all 6, as the resulting support strength should be equal, if kara would listen to me.

This is an unusual post, because you are wrong for once. Icefrog and Kara play a lot of eletd together, and they both have an eye on the other guys map, so it's very logical to expect they both copy each other. DotA has a long history of continiousl adding more content to the map, so DotA has changed a lot during the making of eletd. Also, kara just stated that: "We most definitely had Erupt (Hyrdo Tower) first."

This is one of the few occaisions where you are wrong. The 300% size bug has existed long before the latest trickery. It's for example part of the pb. Edit - Maybe this helps: It seems that the wrong model sizes are related to the original size of the model. Quaker is in the game a huge boss, right? And oblivion is a huge portal, right?
-
I'm not sure if this is true. Pure essence is a lategame option, or should be one. Also keep in mind that you get the essense before you kill the boss, so you have one (2, 3..) pure helping you to get it.

Yes, undead is finally fixed to revive only once. Afaik the ankh has a cooldown, and I guess it is set to 1h or so.
