  1. Wait for a replay? There allready is a replay in this thread. I personally think that hunting ronalds is fun, but not really the point of eletd. I'd rather see you play vh sr than 500 ronalds on nm pick.
  2. You went light level 1, I would suggest dark level 1 instead. (L2, D1, W2, F2, N2, E2.) You would get monsoon and supernova instead of thorns and mire. If you have maxed slow, you won't need earthshaker. I gave you that replay, check it out again. I play on very hard and the only towers I level up before periodics are monsoon and freezing. You are on normal, so just copying me should work perfectly, right? Where do you see differences to my way of playing the towers? Maybe I have good reasons for what I do.

    That sounds like 3 different issues: The huge golem size is a bug related to wells spring forward ability, it can also happen with other towers (for example quakers). This bug is known, an Karawasa is trying to fix it. Golems walking around is normal, they are meant to walk around. Give them a patroll command, or maybe a hold position. When the mana does not go up anymore that could be for two reasons: Golems have a max level, maybe your golem is an adult now. And golems mana (unlike all other towers mana) is gained by hitting targets, maybe your golem has nothing to shoot at anymore.

    Income strategy

    Many players here play multiplayer most of the time, so "just enough towers to keep me in the game" is more than you need when playing alone. Also, many players here play on random a lot, so they keep selling and rebuilding some of them for the entire match (all towers sell at 100% on rnd). If I'm playing on vh pick, I'd usually start with an arrow opening for a good compromise between interest and speed, and then spend most of my money for midgame, until I get some strong tower to a high level (like monsoon or waterfall), so I can keep some gold unspent again. This midgame also requires me to add, sell, and rebuild some elemental arrows or cannons. Have you seen some decent replays? If not: Are you playing on the latest version of tft, 1.22? (If you play on the battle.net, this will be the case.)
  8. Hi Jolin. That's because you were skiing. The bot can host now, MH tested it with me. It also can use the ul/dl system for mao files. MH and I had a long discussion about safety issues for a ladder yesterday, so maybe check that chatlog.

  11. I did a second test, and compared a 33 to a 222 build, as jolin predicted that 33 > all. Afaik it's bad but not as bad as the other issue. I tested 6 refined nature and 2 waterfalls (33) vs 4 fanatic and 1 forge (222). Notice that 2/6 is a worse ratio that the ideal 1/4 of the 222, so 222 has an advantage there. (I made sure all towers were boosted.) Notice also that the 33 towers cost about 19k, while the 222 towers cost about 21k gold. Again in fovour of the 222. I tested both builds on wave 45, at 4, and only the 33 did a no leak, while the 222 leaked a bit. So I assume that the effective output of a 33 with maxed support is at least 12% better than that of a 222 with a support dual. 4 fanatic + 1 forge 16093 networth displayed with towers built => 21457.33 gold wave 45 few leaks 6 refd nature + 2 waterfall 14334 networth displayed with towers built => 19112 gold wave 45 no leak => Gold ratio is 1,1227, or +12% dmg/gold/time for the 33. 1694 Etd(4pb vh) 33 vs 222.w3g

    Garena will host online multiplayer of any version, eurobattlenet uses 1.20e I guess, and there are loads of other multiplayer online platforms for tft. Back on topic please.

  19. Jolin allready hinted that he has doubts about the 3332, so maybe he'll find a better sollution. It's easy to try out. Use -gold and -lumber, start with xsm, but after summoning the elements for velocity, change to -level 1. Then summon what you need and build your defenses. Save game, and go to -level 58, so you can play wave 59 and 60. That's important, because smith and well will need 2 waves to power up all towers. Now add or remove towers until you no leak 59 and 60, but don't cheat: Try to keep a mix of dmg that could win you a game. I'll provide an example for this soon. While you wait, listen to some light music.   20. There are loads of different versions of tft. Most people on the forums play on the battle.net, so we get automatically upgraded, and we are at the 1.22a right now. But some replays here are for 1.20e or 1.21. Start your game and take a look at the first menu screen. Down in the lower right corner should be a number, and that should be your version number. The last version has a very detailed code here (1.22.0.6328 for me), for all older versions you will find something like "1.12". Before upgrading, you should ask yourself: Where will I play tft? If you are using some unofficial server, you may want to stay on the version they are using. Maybe I have a replay for you on that version. If you offer me cookies, I might even record one for you.
  21. Ok, let's get this bay ballanced. I tried a few times to no-leak wave 60 with different builds and the lowest possible networth. For example: My lowest 122222 was a all but light lv2 build, and I had one support each and two periodics only, for the cost of about 60000 gold. I played at 4-5 and did not leak. My lowest 3332 (one dual support only) was 83800 gold. Can you do it lower? If not, I assume that 6 ele has a 40% advantage in lategame over 4 ele with 1 support dual.

  24. I disagree, and here is why: This map is going to be a ladder map soon. And a ladder map is not ballanced for the beginners, it has to work on the top level. Very hard has to be tough on the best players, cause we don't want every match to go to ronald. Imagine someone asking icefrog to nerf dota, because most players find it to hard. Sounds rediculous, right? And more and more people beat the 4pb consistantly on vh. The masses are catching up on the new diff level. Besides, the 21 is much easier than the 20. If you have problems beating the map, maybe it's because you use tactics that worked on the 3.0, or the pb, like first triple support, or slow/splash only. Try going zealot as a first tripple instead, and delay tripple support for late midgame; only use dual support early on. Have you tried that? I have problems getting rid of that bad habbit too. About the tripple support on level 1: A 6 ele build has them all, and they don't add, they multiply. So a 222221 build gets +50% for the last level 1 alone (4 support tripples, 7%, and one support dual, 15%; that's 1.07^4 * 1.15 = 1.5). So what do you have to offer for 4 ele builds to counter the massive power of 4 lv.1 tripples? (They alone do 30% bonus.) We need to have absurdly high maxed dual support to counter it. "Absurdly" because it allows a player to go 3-3 at level 30 and to max a support dual early, and actually win with that. When we raise lv1 tripple support, we need to raise maxed dual support lategame, which results in a messed up midgame. We could very well end up with a game were the only winning option is to go 3-3. The other extreme would be a map where the only winning build is 222221. Jolin suggests a dual support with variable boost, like for example +5% per wave (300% on level 60, but only 150% on level 30), which would counter this problem. Maybe that sollution is a bit akward or too complicated, although I like and support it. If you feel that tripple support is too weak on level 1 (and I agree with you on that), please provide a sollution that doesn't overpower 5 and 6 ele lategame or 4 ele midgame. Thank you.

    About the trees, as long as the biggest/most are on the backside of the buildable areas, there should be no problem.
