  1. The projectile stops and returns upon hitting the creep. What it should do is continue until it hits maximum range. Consider this a crappy preview of the SC2 Mushroom!
  2. You don't want to use inheritance for that. Tower and Creep should be two separate things. Perhaps the order of declarations is improper? You definitely can make it so basicTower has a pointer of type normalCreep. Otherwise, try a typedef for normalCreep ahead of where basicTower is defined. Can't really help beyond that without seeing code.

    Tower Names

    Seism is a noun like Quake, while Seismic is an adjective. Fount and Fountain can mean the same thing, but Fountain leans toward Water while Fount leans toward source or origin. But then again, considering the connotation that "Well" and "Spring" will give perhaps Fountain is best. I will have to think about that one. Edit: Good call on Fount, I've changed it to Fountain.
  8. There are about 10 abilities left to make, a handful of mechanics to implement, and a few things that need tweaking. All of the tower/creep models have been selected, 95% of the tower/ability icons have been selected, and all of the tower/creep have been given names. The special effects for most abilities still need to be selected (or tweaked). Tooltips haven't been started but that is something I can wrap up quickly. That's where we stand. I hope this is more helpful than a misleading deadline .
  9. What the OP seems to be lamenting about is more a result of the community (or lack thereof). Back in the "golden age" the community was larger and more active. There was more incentive to play a competitive game (VH Random) and post it for others to see. There were also more people around who were capable of doing so, based on numbers alone. But, that is why I'm bringing ETD to SC2. There are more people (potential players) on BNET now then there were during the peak time of WC3 ETD. If we can pull off success again, then these boards will finally need moderators.
  10. Interesting. The 5th image is not as bound to WC3 as the 4th one is. The 2nd image doesn't have enough detail for anything large (maybe on a cup or bumper sticker). The 1st and 3rd have already been used. What about a poster using the 5th image? The 1st is too wide.

    The forums are neutral. There are no WC3 themed skins available. The most you could argue is the header of the default skin. But, let's consider that paying homage to where we began. Thus, the only thing to do is replace the individual forum icons with SC2 ones. Or, is that not what you meant? The site functions the same. It just looks different.

    There isn't a way, far as I can tell. You'll have to double click the icon path as if you were going to change it for a full size preview. Regarding the icons themselves, it is definitely a lot harder than WC3 to get a good variety.

  16. Glad to hear it! French seems to be the other language we need for EU server. Can you PM me your contact information? Glad to hear it! This seems good for SA server. Which one of you? This question is for you, Hemo, and alquemx. What would be the easiest way to do the translation? I was thinking that I could create a word file with all of the text (ability description, tower description, in-game text etc.). Then, you two would return to me the translated file. From there, I could just copy and paste it all into the map. That work?
  17. It is the mode called "Super Weapons" in the dialog menu. If going through host options you have to go past the advanced part. If in singleplayer it doesn't exist.

  20. Yes, it is definitely possible. I'm a lazy player and depend more on building the bare minimum than the sell/rebuild strategy. I'm a bit rusty otherwise I'd go and make a replay for you now.
