  1. Some interesting ideas in this thread. To be honest, I like the way things work now. As for Race Mode, it got the axe (you will find out why in the public beta).
  2. Great work indeed....but more than half the towers are changing. Once the element makeup for towers is decided, and they survive testing, this would be great to have done.
  3. I would be very interested in seeing something like this (but unabridged) for 4.0, since the game will be changing so much.
  4. It is nice to see so many people interested in the tournament. For those that are, I have good news for you. A ladder system is being planned for the game, to coincide with the release of 4.0. It would be website based, but would link into the game as well. Essentially it offers a way to get credit for challenges completed, games won, tournaments played etc.
  5. I really like Electronic music, Trance to be specific. I usually let shuffle take care of things, unless I'm in the mood for a certain song.

  8. As I'm sure you all know, mechanical and undead units are gaining unique characteristics. Undead has already been planned out, and hopefully will survive testing. Mechanical on the other hand, I am interested in hearing suggestions on how these creeps should work. I'm not really satisfied with the slow and strong idea at the moment. So post any interesting ideas you have on what would be cool for mechanical units.
  9. Yes, but I neglected it for a reason. It is attack based, which essentially just encourages massing.
  10. I'm considering MrChak's proposal to remove Inner Fire from Enchantment Tower, and place it on a Dual tower (probably replacing Lava). If we do so, Enchantment will just be a tower that casts Faerie Fire...boring. I'd be interested to hear other ideas for an armor reduction tower.
  11. Alright, lets keep it. Still should decide on Enchantment/Lava though. In response to MrChak, I propose moving Greed back to triple status, and in its place putting the real Berserk tower.
  12. MrChak, why did you leave out two towers in your distribution? Those two being Berserk and Summoning Tower (not to be confused with Lava, which could be damage buff spell from Enchantment Tower). I like the idea of taking Inner Fire from Enchantment and slapping it onto a new tower (that would replace Incinerate ability from Lava). That would give us three mega duals, damage/speed buff, and replicate. As for summoning, I never liked it. I'm considering the idea of axing it, thoughts?
  13. I should have kept track . Switched 45 and 56. Places an undead closer to the end of the game, for greater challenge (otherwise there would be only one at 48 Switched 8 with 44. Places a fast closer to the end of the game, where it will do more damage (there was a considerable gap between fast at 44, it seemed good). Switched various amount of Elements. My attempt to spread things out a little more, and also eliminate the excess hard sequences. It is just a sequence I came up with while messing around with Cisz's, so as I said it is up for grabs. Feel free to use any ideas from it.
  14. Very impressive work Cisz, I commend you. I have been playing around with your distribution, this is what I have here. Just some minor tweaks, up for grabs.
  15. Yes, we have enough ideas at the moment. Waiting for the element makeup of the towers to be determined, and the spells coded. Could be anywhere from a few days, to a week. It will be the BIG beta though .
  16. The two changes I wanted to discuss with your method, is what happens to Lava/Enchantment tower. It seems that everyone so far has agreed that Replicate/Well fit the bill for mega duals. If I understand correctly, you propose axing the current idea of Lava/Enchantment towers. This leaves us two towers short, represented by: *lwe ??? (???) *fwn Rainbow (???) So, I want to see what you think about Frostbite tower. I discussed it with Cisz, and we both thought it would make for a great third mega dual. The damage amplification part (if it gets damaged while frozen, that damage is doubled) seems like a great version of support. If we do this, that allows us to keep Lava tower (incinerate seems like a cool ability). As for Enchantment, we should discuss whether to make it focused on Armor Reduction (Faerie Fire), or have it be the wonder tower that it is now (Damage Buff, Faerie Fire). If it becomes armor reduction only, than we have an additional ability we can put somewhere (damage buff, as we already have speed buff - well). Going along with this thought, if we do decide it is best to make Enchantment Tower an armor reducer only, than Frostbite doesn't have to be a mega dual, but rather a tower that has an attack damage buff spell could take its place.

    This is the Morphling's ultimate from DotA, with a twist. A tower with this ability would cast on another tower, and a replica of the target tower would be created (not an image, an actual tower - with expiration bar like spawned creep) as close to the casting tower (replica tower) as possible. Three levels, 1/2/3 replicas possible. Replicas would be identical to tower replicated. Cannot use on Pure Towers, Periodic Tower of the Elements.
  20. Hey, for that characteristic that is anti-splash, where a unit dies and it heals nearby ones, what about Mechanical? After all, these are machine parts that are on the ground, for other machines to incorporate. I do like the reincarnation idea a lot, and the "Tank," idea just seemed drab.
  21. Alright, lets try them and see how they work. Crypt and Life are being kept. Crypt now works on all units (model/name change will come), and Life now works on everything but Composite Armor creeps (model/name change, perhaps).

  23. Currently, Blink Tower in my opinion is not good enough on Random Mode. With the ability to sell and rebuild at no cost, it is easy to relocate towers. I do realize that Blink Tower allows you to move around instantly, and with no downtime. What I am proposing is to add some additional effect to the Blink Tower. Perhaps, where the Blink Tower ends up after a blink sustains AoE damage, or an AoE effect. What do you guys think?
  24. Blink is worthless on Random Mode (for the most part), unless something is done to change the design of the tower.
