Although it has been mentioned, this tower would function like Berserk unit on normal ladder creeps. You click to activate it (for the casting tower only) and it buffs damage/attack speed for a short duration. Now the question is, should it autocast upon attacking? I feel this might make it too easy and also a pain in the ass (if you wanted to activate it yourself at a better time, say if there is only one creep by itself, would be a waste).

I'm still leaning toward removing the additional upgrade paths. It encourages better planning by pros, and prevents noobs from killing their cash. It makes sense too, if you want a level 2 dual, you need a level 1 dual etc..
-
That is a good idea, I'll go along with it.

I think Ronald right now is a pain in the ass. Worry not, the changed Ronald will be much smoother, more interesting, and actually a real challenge (i.e. tough as hell but can be beat).

Only first two players?

Alright.... Well the fact of the matter is, I don't play very much at the moment (busy with job, and of course map) but when I do get back into playing (probably around the time of public beta) I will definitely hang out in Clan etd channel. I used to be very attached to Azeroth, being that is where I spent 99% of my BNET experience. However, now that I don't play DotA anymore, most of my friendships/ties there have disappeared. Thus, I don't mind hanging around on Northrend, especially if people start using listchecker.

If the situation was different, I would tell you to start one on your own. Currently though, there aren't enough people who know about the forums (that will change) to really help you start a clan on West. What you can do is try to recruit people from your games, players that stay the game or are nice/good. Otherwise, you can hop onto Clan etd on Northrend, with an upcoming bot, and a solid member base, you will feel at home.

2.5 fooled everyone (except Chak of course), I thought it was a legitimate version until Chak himself told me it wasn't. I assume it caught on because the unknown updater actually tried to improve the game. It is rather funny/sad that Blizzard spotlighted a fake map. I contacted them, but they seemed to not care at all (i.e. no response/action).

VH All/Same Random Although, as others have said, I anticipate being a Chaos mode player myself.

Trying to revive this topic again, now that the Element Distribution has finally been resolved. Please, do critique Cisz's or my distribution, and feel free to create your own!

Alright, I have updated the map (http://www.eletd.com/mapfile) to reflect a mixture of MrChak's changes, our agreements, and my own changes. Everything is first letter hotkey compatible. These are the towers that I struggled with, and could not come up with anything: Duals: Rage - NE Blink - EL Hotkeys available: C J N O Q R U V X Y Z Triples: Impetus - WFN Fury - WFE Hotkeys available: I K O X Y Z

Nice. So far we have decided that the tower that is housing this ability will be called Roots. If you could make the effect have some feel of roots, entangling, nature etc. that would be swell. Not carrion swarm, that is being used already.

When the unit is unpaused this needs to happen: Unit - Order (Attacked unit) to Move To (Center of Region_Leak[((Custom value of (Attacked unit)) - 1)]) With both instances of attack being replaced by the unit, in this case it appears to be u.

Alright, this needs to work for two different towers, how to put two rawcodes where there is room for one? Also, it needs to increase the units size (every time it levels, the units grows a little bit), you can see what exactly it should do (the effect) in the trigger I mentioned above.
-
Sounds good, just make sure to differentiate between level 1 and level 2 towers. If a level one tower links it will add say 150 damage that you used, if it is a level 2 tower, it should be different item damage bonus ability for say 750 damage. The catch? Level 1 and level 2 cannot link into each other, so the stacking problem isn't there.

Here is what I think: Duals: I don't like what happened to the FE towers, I think Blacksmith/Forge/Armory was very fitting. I also would like to keep Blink as EL and Rage as NE. Making the NE units burrow isn't really possible, so it would be best to throw out this idea. I like what you did with Illusion and Eidolon tower, but Moon seems really out of place for that sequence. I'm ok with what was done with DW, although not sure about level 1. I dig what you have done for WE. Revert back to Energy is fine. Revert back for DN is fine as well, perhaps some model tweaking for "Death," but the other two levels are fine. Don't like what happened to FN at all, perhaps keep my changes but rename incandescence into flame. I dig NL. Triples: LDW works out well, lets keep that. I think LDF was actually cool, don't like the proposed. LDN I already had done the Necromancer, I think the ghostly Necromancer is better than the Lich because of Hero Glow. I'm fine with revert for LDE. I like what I did for LWN, think we should keep it. I'll go along with LWE. Like the Goldmine more for LFE. I think the statue model sucks to be honest. I think the Crystals work better for LNE, the proposed models/icons I dunno about. For DWN, I think Kraken could actually work. I can dig it. DWE works out good, I will change the icons though. DFN is cool, I dig it. DNE could work out well, depending on spell animation. WFN doesn't work out well at all in my opinion. Rainbows and "Impetus," don't really go together. Although, what I had proposed wasn't that good either. WFE also doesn't work very well. Besides, I'm using the Infernal model for something else. What was wrong with Vengeance/Wrath? I dig WNE. I like what I did with FNE, but I think the level 1 tower I selected could use work (level 2 works exceptionally well). PS: Not to sound harsh, but the post with the "revisions," I didn't like any of them .

I imagine this spell is really easy to code, since I could do it (non-MUI). Would you mind doing this one emjlr3, so that it is MUI?
-
You are right, I could probably do this easily. How to make it MUI for a bunch of towers out at the same time though?

Looking at the map, you will see in "Tower Abilities," a trigger about Flesh Golem growth. Basically, when a unit dies around these towers, they get mana added to them. When their mana reaches a certain threshold, it resets and the command aura on them goes up in level. What I want, is for it to be based on damage dealt. When this specific unit does damage, it adds mana based on damage dealt and level of ability of the unit damaged (perhaps drop this last part, and just make it damage dealt if it is too complex). When the mana reaches full (say 100) then the mana resets and the passive ability is leveled up by one.
-
Why do you make such an unjustified assumption? There will of course be a weight system implemented. Someone high ranked beating a noob will be worth little, and vice versa.
-
All we need is a place to mint them . But back to the coin, that is interesting what you did to it. It would be hot if you could give it a metallic look, like a real coin.
-
The map preview image isn't really the most visible thing (loadscreen is of course). I think that Beta is sufficient, because the loadscreen will be plastered with information that points to the fact that it is a beta.

Reflection towers should only be able to link up with other Reflection towers of course. I think Chak's idea with a channel spell of unlimited duration (can be broken, no cooldown) would be best. Here is how I envision it, and it would allow the user to see the added damage. When one tower "channels," into another, the target gets an item attack bonus added to it. There would be two different item attack bonuses, one for level 1 tower, and another for level 2 tower. They would add say 5% more than the standard base damage of the tower they are based on (level 1 and level 2). When the channel is broken, remove the bonus. There isn't a limit on number of item attack bonuses that can be added right? If not, I feel this would be the most workable solution.
-
I think there were only four DotA-esque tower abilities, and one of them was changed dramatically. That means all that is left is Impetus, Wrath of Nature, and Maledict.

For me, Azeroth.
