    Good point. I'd also recommend the counters being given in real numbers instead of integers. That way the support buff Fire Up (15%/30%/150%) can be applied. Essentially if the tower has a level of the buff than the counters it adds per attack should be multiplied by the appropriate amount.
  3. Shrapnade is the spell that basically acts like a cluster bomb. At the moment, the initial projectile goes to the position of the target when it was cast (thus it misses a lot). It would be nice if the initial projectile was homing instead. Just to clarify, the shrapnel (clusters that are created after initial hit) should continue to be random (i.e. no change). This is for the Gunpowder tower (so you know what to test).

    You may have noticed that the banner ad at the top and the link ads at the bottom are now missing. In place of them I am trying out in-text advertising. I hope this will be less intrusive and reduce the amount of scrolling needed.
  5. Mode ideas as of this post (feel free to disagree, but post it!), Select hero at start of game. Selection process would work exactly like Draft Pick.Ability to morph between hero and builder. 1 second delay. Can only morph in your own area.There would be no items. There would be no hero vs. tower combat.Hero is meant as both defensive (help your towers) and offensive (steal creeps and kill heroes).There would be creep stealing. Otherwise, catalyst for combat isn't really there.Hero would scale with the game better than previous incarnations. How should its power compare to towers? Should it be stronger than the average tower?The summoning center would act as an HP/MP fountain (for your hero only).Hero kills would be rewarded with large bounty (say 10x the current level's bounty) and XP (same thing).

    Patch 1.24

    Another placeholder thread as I'm sure you're fully aware of the 1.24 patch and its consequences. Since we can't implement the changes now, perhaps it would be best to simply isolate the problem triggers (and also ones that could be optimized with hash table) and post the modifications here. Once any sort of indication of 1.24 coming out is released, I'll implement the changes and have them tested in anticipation.

    Napalm 2.0

    You'll notice the current Napalm ability works by applying a dummy ability to the creep(s) damaged by the tower. The level of this ability ranges from 1-8 depending on the level of support buff and the tier that the tower is. When a creep dies it explodes for a certain amount of damage depending on the level of the dummy ability. The dummy ability is removed after a certain duration (unit "cools" off). I'm looking to remake this ability. I'd like to move away from dummy abilities altogether (crude method) and also I'd like to make it stackable. I propose something like this, When a tower with Napalm damages a unit, it adds a Napalm counter/marker to it. Each counter is automatically (and individually) removed after a certain duration. When a unit dies it deals damage equal to X*# of counters. If a Flamespewer (tier 2) damages a creep with Flamethrower counters, the Flamethrower counters are reset and instead Flamespewer counters get incremented. If a Flamethrower (tier 1) damages a creep with Flamespewer counters, nothing happens. To represent the number of counters a creep has (so player can see how much damage this guy is going to explode for) perhaps the creep should be shaded more and more red as counters increment.

    This post is more of a placeholder than anything. You're already working on it so there isn't much to explain at the moment. Thumbs up on the shading idea regarding ban vote amount.
  12. You'll notice the MMD library in the map which has yet to be utilized. The purpose of said library is to export data from the map to a hosting bot for use in a league. We have two servers within the community (meateor, MagicalHacker), and the plan is to get both of them running a bot in the near future. In order to extend the usage of these servers beyond mass hosting, we need this library implemented. I have attached a word file briefly detailing what data I'd like to collect.   14. No, it still is. Quark wasn't anymore likely to cause this problem than any other 0.66 speed tower that used the DDS.
  15. Upon discussion with holepercent, I propose a change to my original list. We keep Flesh Golem, remove the teleport, make it flying, and kill Oblivion instead.
  16. Update, the bug has been fixed. Time to add some variety to attack speeds .

  20. For a variety of reasons, I believe that Element TD ought to stop being a modification and start being its own game. I'm due to have a conversation with Pendragon_ from LoL, and likewise I'd want to contact the guys over at HoN. Both companies are working on taking a WC3 mod to the next level. Perhaps a beta invite would be a good start regarding HoN. PS: There is also a browser version in the works. One way or another, we will escape WC3.
