I made a long time test once, and the game ended after a few days (in my absence). Maybe the ronnies got stuck (a common problem), or the map can't handle such a long runtime/big numbers and somehow crashed.

"This"? This varied difficulty levels or this racemode? Both could be voted or host decided. Or do you see any problems with that?

Good question. RC is for release candidate. The meaning of that is: This version is probably so bad, we don't even call it a version. It's more of a attempt that might by chance end up so functional, that it will later on be renamed to a version, but for now it's only a possible release candidate. Or in simple words: This shit is broken, don't use it, don't hand it around, don't ever expect anything from it. It's so unreliable we can't even tell if it's broken, and it's not to be released.

This would be chosen and loudly announced at the start of the game, just as any other mode. To win 26 waves in a field of, say, 4 players, will take much longer than 26 waves, if the other players are at least a bit skilled, compared to the leading player. And a build that will win you the first waves easy, but failes later (assuming you are not on sr chaos.. ) can be copied by the other players, so all of a sudden it's wave 40, with 5 won waves each and doom starts to creep in. Unless ofc, the best player has a huge skill advantage..

@impulse - good point. The first player to win 26 waves could finish the game early in case that won waves are the only winning condition. But what about that: A player finishes 20 waves and dies. Has he won? Can he still win? Can he still win if he leaves the game? I would coun't that a second required condition, beeing alife. But still the game could end early after 26 wins for one player, even if it is uncertain if he will survive, that's up to the maker of the map/mode to decide.

I've been playing too much mpdtd - time to steal what they have invented, so eletd gets even better. In mpdtd players win points for finishing a wave first, so this is a new winning condition: Having won the most waves. Effectively this is some sort of racemode, but w/o the lifeloss. You stay in game till the end (if you can handle the speed that is..) but don't win it. Im mpdtd the players also loose points for loosing lifes, so that might be another winning condidion: Having the fewest leaks. These can be combined like +1 custom score for each wave, -1 for each leak. Or that values can be adjusted to maybe +3/-1 or or +2/-5 whatever the playtesting indicates (mpdtd has +20/-25, but different creep and wave numbers). This might be a better race mode and might lead to faster games which might lead to a better tomorrow. Thoughts?

Goldmines are not a good choice on race imo.

First you need 1.000.000 gold, and that's a tricky part. My favourite method to get that is to use gentle slowing, that doesn't kill the creeps, so they take long to reach the exit, and kill them there. This works easiest with healers, but whats good for healers is to strong on non-healing waves. The build is: wfldn-wlfd-f-*.

I set it to autocast fairy fire and either manually cast inner fire on my dmg towers, or switch to autocast inner fire for a short moment, returning to autocast fairy fire right after one inner fire has been cast.

I don't use heroes, but steams dot doesn't stack.

Sure. Try dwarven style: el-le-le-$$$$$. Goldmine for wave 31. No pures, just gold. Sucks vs ronald ofc. Or rainbow style: wfnd-wnfd-wnd. No pures. First tripple rainbow, use well, acid, poison. Go for spectrum first, keep poison on level 1 till after wave 54 or 55, get waterfall and hydrochlorics early. How about this: dwfe. Acid, sludge, flamethrower, pure earth, maybe a little poison. Or the three-pick-build: lne. Gem on level 1. Uses only 3 elemental picks. Keep your wood (7 unused picks) and win. All these can be won no leak and multiplayer, as long as noone races you with ve or a decent monsoon build. So here is a challenge for you: Can you do it?

There is no replay because noone ever made one after 1.21 came out. All the tricks are still there, but simply hard to use.

There is no ronald stalling replay for 1.21. I tried to make one again, but failed so far (after like 10 attempts I gave up).

I can send you dozens of mb of ronald stalling (thats 2 replays), but can you watch them? They are tft v.1.20e.

If karawasa says "drop prism", I say "if we need a new tower, Karawasa should be posting in the dev section" or rather: Karawasa should be posting more, why not take this as an opportunity to post.
