  1. $$DFE remains a single-player build.. the opening towers have to be built at III or VI or even IX.. the build doesn't hold well at the regular IV V.. it's not competitive enough to play against a well-played LWFN, or any other rushing build in multiplayer..
  2. 1100 range at V can get a few extra shots in along the right ledge.. could be useful for really low hp leaks.. the timing is almost impossible to control so it's largely hit and miss...

    support towers don't really make good starts.. tornado slows, so it is stronger to micro it along the path in the midgame. with both slows upgraded, everything would be at V, with a little impulse mirco at the start of every wave.. using which duals to upgrade to triples usually doesn't matter that much as those duals often don't stay in play for long... some would just use elemental arrows and interest farm and build the triple directly.. LWFN is basically a V build, or if you can handle it, could try VII..

Also testing towers by themselves isn't that good an idea of balance.. support towers are not meant to solo waves.. build them after the main damage is in play.. some of the towers mentioned are strong in the right build with the right support.. as mentioned, doubt we balanced that bad.. some of the numbers are too extreme, in the betas, they have proved overpowered.. and some towers do need to be mircoed.. if the flame tower fires 2-3 times at the same creep and that damage is wasted, then you need to mirco it to change targets frequently or use the short-pass placement..
  5. in the beta FDS, there was almost a replay to ronalds with more than 50 leaks...
  6. One strategy is to vote for the triples based on the dual you remove.. basically remove a set of builds around a certain dual.. like jolin012 voting for golem, drowning and impulse after removing well in the last draft..

  11. few would realise the difference.. only those who wheel down and take a good look and know every detail of both the old and the new.. but as it goes, it's the little things that make it more interesting.. most would not bother but it would impress/suprise the few who pay attention to every detail..

  14. t3 duals are stronger than t2 triples in terms of dps.. but most triples are stronger with support. suppose t3 trickery 3-element builds should work.. but it is harder to play.. LDW, LDE and LDF should all be playable too.. LDN maybe not with no 'real' damage tower.. trickery, life and disease don't quite make a build..
  15. t3 support duals are too strong in the early-mid game but probably balanced for the endgame.. anyone tried to rush t3 damage duals early-midgame? t3 triples would probably be imbalanced.. players have to decide on playing t3 duals vs t2 triples now.. t3 triples would definately be stronger than t3 duals.. which probably means t3 triples all the way.. either that increase in creep hp which makes the t3 duals worse.. and yes, no quad element towers or 5-ele towers..

    shouldn't be a problem with "Element TD 4.0".. even beta filenames were longer and they appeared in the list and no problems playing them..

    It's a pretty cool bug.. a very sudden start.. then the player panics.. and leaks the first wave.. which brings back the point not to release a map that has further changes not tested by the team... although the release party map wasn't the actual released map in the end as well..

  21. the draft is closed! but all drafters have maybe 12 hours to submit replays as the draft host would not be viewing replays till then..there is no penalty if replay is submitted before results are posted..

  24. heh.. true.. for beta FDS every game can be considered testing the beta.. but not now.. my current draft build is a 2-pass / VIII VII build instead of a build for rushing..
