I don't have any intention of removing hero mode at this point. As for the auras, they should all be fine except immolation aura. I am more concerned with replacing the "single target disable and damage," and the "multiple target damage spell," and finally the "summons."

I like that idea a lot, it can apply to Enchantment towers as well. Gone will be the mana cost. Instead, the cooldown of the spell will be its limit.

I like orb3r's idea and the development team is discussing it. The problem is figuring out how to code it.

Yes, but those things can be percentages. That way, it is relative. When dealing with absolute numbers (an attack, a firebolt, a chain lightning) you have to pay careful attention to numbers relative to point in game (and thus creep health).

I like the massive amount of thought put in. What I think we should do first, is brainstorm all the new towers. They don't have to have names set in stone, but we need their abilities down (at least for the triples being redesigned). That way, we can then determine all the "game deciding," towers.

Yes, that is a good solution to the Ronald overflow. What do you guys think of the Hydra idea though? If it is tough enough, it should definitely wear down players.

The thing is though, that system works via players submitting replays. There is no way that War3 can interact outside of the game. Thus, it wouldn't be a nice automated process, it would be manual and most people are too lazy.

This is the other fundamental gameplay change that I had in mind for Final. This was suggested by Cisz, and I believe it to be an idea that should be implemented. The question becomes, how? Currently, there is an unfair distribution of the elements. There are clearly some combinations that are far superior to others (4 at a time, so 15 total). I believe that we should change what elements go into what tower, in an effort to eliminate the "all the good shit is over here," and the "that combination is bad," effects. At the same time that we want to do this, we have to also redesign & tweak the towers. Perhaps we should do that first, and then tackle this problem. Regardless though, please do give this idea some thought and let me know your ideas.

Don't like any of them to be honest. I feel all the text should fit into the circle, and the font for "Element TD," is terrible (no offense). I actually liked the first one you posted: The "Final," looks good in my opinion. Perhaps add some more "effects," to jazz it up. I don't know about the font of "Element TD Survivor," it is not bad at all, but could be better.

The plan is to redesign them completely. What will they get, no one knows. It depends on what abilities/features the development team thinks should be allocated to that slot (light/dark).

Alright, so XP on kill idea is out. How to tweak it then? I'm thinking it needs more base damage, less damage increment (5% damage instead of 10%?). Another additional idea is to make it increase at the same rate regardless of level. That way, they don't suck shit right away and are not IMBA later.

But we are not THAT worried about balance. I think it is easier to balance things when damage is not a factor.

They get mana for every kill within 750 radius of them that is organic. When their mana is full they "lvl up," so to speak (which is really just increasing their ability by one which adds damage). The mana then resets and it repeats. There is a cap in place. Also, they get more mana from kills as the game goes on (because mana given is based off of creep lvl). What I would propose to do is to modify their "XP," system in someway. Perhaps make it so they get mana only for their own kills, regardless of radius. Then, it could be all types of critters (or maybe just not undead). Also, if that were to happen they would be given much more base damage. We could of course also tweak the numbers on the XP etc. too.

The bottom line is that each tower should only have ONE hotkey associated with it. Unless there is some easy to way get around the problem mentioned above, for multiple towers across the map at the same time, it cannot be done.

Exactly, there would have to be multiple versions for each tower for hotkey reasons alone...

We would need a talented and artistic web designer. I'm hoping to have a really nice site to attract people. Perhaps as the community grows, one will stumble by.
