  1. Alright, I have the idea... When cast on a creep, its current HP is divided by 2/4 (level 1/2). After X seconds, the HP subtracted is returned to the creep, provided it is alive. SHOULD NOT STACK, if cast on a creep already affected, should do nothing. What this is, is basically a creative form of damage amplification. By reducing HP significantly for a short time, it gives the player the opportunity to own the creep much faster for a short time.

  3. @weird, but yes Good to hear. @that is how it currently works Alright. @bug, how so? the timings are fairly precise, not to the hundredth of a second, but deff to the tenth, i can make it fire twice the current method, unless you really care if the damage is done .05s later then it should have That is fine, he did not explain how it bugged anyway. @what does that mean? I guess you modded the code some, I will look at it when I get a chance Yup.

    Interesting idea, in a sense it is damage amplification without being so directly. Your idea gave me an idea, what if being frozen temporarily reduced HP? One way would be that the HP is cut by a certain factor, so if you can kill the creep in this window then you did so much easier. If not, it would be restored to HP it had when frozen minus the damage you dealt.
  8. Your comments are very true, this incarnation was hastily designed. I was going to propose making this more like Frostbite, but without the dispel on attack part. At any rate, I'll hold off until I gather some ideas, don't want propose things to code and then change them.

    I would like this to not be similar to Flame Tower. If we were to make it slow and increase damage taken, then it would essentially be a stronger version of Flame Tower. Does anyone have some ideas for "Polar Tower," that revolve around one main theme, Damage Amplification.
  10. Opening this up again, for a few modifications: -Can you make it so that it is AoE? The dummy spell should be single target, but when casted on a creep can it curse all units say within 250 AoE of the target creep? -Can you make it so that it does not stack at all? No timer reset, nothing. If a creep is cursed and is already cursed, should just ignore the fresh curse completely. -Can you make the timings exact? I haven't tested it much myself, but some people have reported the occasional bug. That, and I want to reduce the duration to 5 seconds, with it firing every 2.5 seconds (so it fires twice). -Can you base it on the code in the mapfile I gave you? Thanks

  12. For balance reasons, I need a Fan of Knives custom triggered so that it can be affected by armor type and amount. Make it so that it has 10 levels, level 1 doing nothing, and levels 2-10 doing more and more damage (constant numbers for each, not based on *lvl). Thanks

    I can increase the duration but decrease the damage amplification. Perhaps 3 seconds and 33% increase?

    I can increase the % significantly, and reduce duration. Instead of a 5 second delay and a 20% chance, perhaps a 3 (or even 2.5) second delay and a 50% chance?

    Currently it does its damage every 5 seconds, for a total of 2 times (10 second duration). The idea behind this was to give enough time for damage to accumulate (i.e. HP to be lost) that it would do massive damage. However, if this is not working out as such we can change these numbers. It could damage every 2.5 seconds, for a total of 2 times and thus a duration of 5 seconds. The other change I was thinking about, is to make this AoE. It would work the same as it does now, but when the curse is casted on a creep, it would also curse all units within say 250 AoE of the creep. Not so sure about this idea though, but in combination with the shorter frequency/duration, it may be sound. Thoughts?

    1 second duration may mean one attack, but that could be individual attacks from say 20 towers .
  20. When a tower casts this on another tower, it becomes the tower it targeted for X seconds. For balance reasons, there should be a check to see if the target's value is over a certain amount (not fair for a 500 gold tower to transform into a 15000 gold tower), and if it is, display a message informing the player that they can't do it. This ability would have 3 levels, so the duration and the "limit," should have three different values.
  21. It varies, and the range is unfortunately large and low. Anywhere from 1 to 10 cents usually. I have seen over 10 cents, but rarely. This rate seems to change with traffic, with a positive relationship.
  22. I'm looking for the ultimate of Morphling from DotA, albeit in a modified form. Here is how it would play: You cast this on a tower, but there is a limit on towers you can duplicate. That limit would be value, represented by HP of target tower (three levels, each with different limit). If you are able to duplicate the target (target HP is below limit) then casting tower becomes target tower for X seconds (X has 3 levels). When I say becomes, I don't mean image, I mean actually becoming the tower. When this happens, two abilities should be removed (I'll put the rawcodes in myself, these are the two selling abilities).
  23. After some testing, I'm leaning toward the idea that the Frostbite tower is just not practical. The slowing aspect is really worthless, as it dispels on attack. It is the damage component that adds value to the tower. Thus, I was thinking of modifying it as follows: Cast on a creep, duration is 1 second. While on, creep will take double/quadruple (level 1/2) damage. Has a buff, I know that makes things easier. Basically, it is a short duration damage amplifier.

    Generic Map Triggers

    Other half of the dialog voting system, optimize the triggers that spawn creeps (start level, spawn), look at the multiboard and interest triggers (one that gives you cash based on cash you have) as they run quite a bit.
