draft isn't designed to be easy.. it can be skill-testing and 'standard' builds may not work all the time.. players have to find ways to maximise every tower available.it's a chance to try and experiment with different builds. use other towers apart from those you are so accustomed to building. draft is fun as much as it is skill-testing. gameplay phrase just started and there's still plenty of time to try other builds before the draft closes.. good luck and have fun!

Scoring and winning replay Replay with LOWEST score wins. Final score will the sum of each component below. Leaks (least to most) : 1,3,4,5 Time taken (fastest to slowest) : 1,3,4,5 Networth (highest to lowest) : 1,2,2,3 Ronalds killed (most to least) : 1,2,2,3 explaination: eg. for leaks, the replay with the fewest leaks will score one point. the 2nd lowest leaks will score 3 points and so on. therefore, replay with most leaks scores 5 points. in case of ties, all will receive the lower score. Time taken is until victory message appears. This excludes the ronald hunt. Best build design will have 2 points subtracted from the replay's total score. best build design will be picked by me. ( as per draft traditions where best build design is picked by host). This condition may not be used if there is a clear winner. You are allowed to leak but not for interest. Even if you do deliberately leak for interest, you'll probably wouldn't get a good score for time... Building of removed towers/summoning of elementals not drafted will incur a 3 point increase in total score. Any instances of bug abuse, known or unknown beforehand will result in replay being disqualified.

Team mode is a fun idea.. As the discussion goes, all will have to agree on various changes.. and more importantly, balance. Gold is good but is there a way to reward the 'better' players? That way, the stronger players might leave leaving the weaker/noobs behind if gold was even as they do not get extra for contributing to the team. It can be someone doesn't build at all/spams low-damage towers, kills nothing but still gets gold. . Noobs should not be penalised too much but there should be rewards for skill and playing well.. A team limit of 2 pures should be good. >4 free essences for pures seem too strong.. but what about overcrowing? and how would the area be split among the players?

we are so used to memorising what duals upgrade to what triple by the tower names.. i mean most can remember the duals but triples? and considering players (myself, kirby) who spam tower query as we (can't memorise?) the elements for every tower.. on a similar note. how many players can actually one look at the elements (in xsm rnd with at least 4 different elements for example) and tell what towers are available almost immediately (without referring to any form of list)? in xsm rnd the first thing i do after the elementals are summoned is to click tq.. the elemental system would encourage players to really memorise what elements make up every tower to play well. hotkey by tower name also reduces the chances of misbuilding as every tower has a unique hotkey.. it can be quite easy to mix up if the element hotkey system is used if the player is trying to build different towers all at the same time. the elemental hotkey system can make more sense as it is directly gameplay. Tower names can be changed but the elements cannot be changed without it being a 'new' map. actually, i remember this being proposed when 4.0 was proposed in the early betas. Most players now are quite used to the tower name hotkey system that it is a strong factor against changing it now.. the system works without much real problems now..

i see the draft has moved on... All 6 elements can be drafted. But remember, periodics are RFG. the tier3 duals are probably stronger than the 6ele build without periodics.

letting a single creep run through the maze multiple times is definately stalling.. but to be honest, there are no hard and fast rules. generally, if the entire replay is under 1hr (for the 60 waves, excluding extended ronald-killing) or each wave lasts no more than 2 min, it's not really considered 'stalling' generally, leaks must not be deliberate. It isn't considered 'stalling' if leaks are really due to poor defense or misplays. so in random mode, you can definately sell all your towers to rebuild at the end. even if you do leak, it can be considered poor defense and not really 'stalling'. but for the ronald hunt, 13est has the final say..

The superweapons centre really should be in the player's area.. the current one is too far to click and it could be too late to scroll there, click the building, click the spell and click the target.. but there has to be some kind of gap to prevent misclicks between the SW centre and elemental summoning centre.. and yes.. this mode is for fun.. so why can't there be some 'overpowered' spells?

You can pick higher tiers without needing the lower tiers to be drafted first. No repeats. Interest and extra pures must also be drafted if you wish to have either interest/extra pure available for summoning. I will not be adding either into the pool at the end. The tier is important. read the original draft thread for some explaination of the importance of specifying the tier. 3 picks only per player. 12 picks in TOTAL by all 4 players. Each player contributes 3 to make the final 12. Kaini: 1st, 8th and 11th pick. DDRKirby(ISQ): 2nd, 7th and 12th pick lesher: 4th, 5th and 10th pick DevouringOne: 3rd, 6th, 9th pick please wait for your turn. ensure that the drafter who is before you has made his choice before you make yours. keep to the order above. to help others, include the pick number when making your choice. therefore, the first post by kaini should be something like 1st pick: fire tier3 second post by kirby would be something like 2nd pick: water tier3 and so on... First drafter can take some time to think through before starting. Consider what towers have been removed. It may be good draft strategy to start with something like fire/water/earth tier3. Tier3s and tier2s usually make good choices for the first few picks. Remember, some diplomacy is part of the draft. You could include comments about your choice of element picks to influence other players. Have fun!
