    Ice Tower

I really think this tower needs some sort of attack ground ability so it constantly shoots the proper direction. Whenever I make them at the #7 position early game for rushing purposes, it's a bigger pain in the ass to micro than the Mildew tower for some reason. Once I leave the Ice Tower(s) alone, even for a tiny second, the attacks mess up, screwing me over. I remember having two Ice Towers at the #7 position and I left them alone for a couple seconds on some dark stage (might've been dark interceptors) and I was leaking like the whole wave until I started microing it. Another example was I believe the Dark Immortal stage, where I built an Ice Tower thinking I'd totally destroy them, but didn't (partly because I think it was like a second too late after the creeps spawned and the first target it chose was one positioned badly for the full damage, and after that it was a mess). Later on when I know the Ice Tower isn't strong enough to wipe out waves, I like to keep them at #7 for a little while to help soften the waves so I can clear them faster, and when that happens, they aren't my main focus anymore, but still require constant attention because if you leave them alone, they'll do terrible damage for what they're worth. Don't get me wrong here, when I build Ice and Mildew towers, I'm prepared to micro them. It's just Mildew towers for me are more reliable to to leave alone than Ice towers. Once you leave Ice towers alone, they'll start to suck badly. What do you think about giving it an attack ground ability, or whatever it's called?
  2. Dunno if it's a bug or not; so far I've only played two race mode games on SR, but I've noticed that both games I got all six elements first, and once I got them I never got any other elements after the six, not even interest. Basically I only got the six initial level 1 elements to work with the whole game, and thankfully the pure essence for periodic later on. I get the announcement that I'll be getting an element, but nothing comes out. The exact mode I played on was Race Mode, Same Random, Normal order, and Normal difficulty.
  3. Just played race mode with some pubs on normal difficulty so they can enjoy the game, while I don't get rushed by them early on, and I noticed there were no fruit at the end? Shouldn't it be in there just for fun?
  4. Five people in channel Element TD in NA! It's working
  5. I'm from NA; I've been sitting in "Element TD"; so far no one has entered, unless the ideal channel is something different?
  6. I've always liked to think the ideal game of an Element TD game is to not leak at all. Extreme mode enforces this quite well, and proves you are capable of playing in a non-leaking environment. In my eyes, that's the epitome of a top-notch player.
  7. Thanks for the response; I'm looking forward to it, and good point about the stat/trophy system, you're absolutely right about that. It's actually a good idea you're abstaining from the idea for now, as being victimized from hacks can leave bad impressions on a game.
  8. Like an in-game point system? The way I see it, achievements, and cosmetics for doing things seem nice for casual players, and some sort of point/ranking system would be nice for competitive players. The only reason I played Mafia was to get points and cosmetic accessories, and I stopped playing after I reached 1k points. Offering incentives and recognition can really help a game progress.
  9. This sounds great, but one problem. I'll assume the majority of the players are casual players, which means if competitive players want to play these modes, it may ruin the casual player's experience. These competitive modes seems perfect for private games, so in order for casuals and competitive players to be happy, we need to divide the two. Unlike BNet1.0, competitive players can't title games to ward off casuals, so in order to completely appease both parties, the game needs to mention a channel to go to to encourage organized; competitive games, leaving the casual players at their own business. Karawasa, I love these modes, but I don't know if the majority of the players I play with will like them.
  10. Well if you're doing VH in mixed difficulty setting it might be a tad more difficult since other difficulties will be able to rush you. It might be best to watch pros play on VH to get an idea of how it's done before you can start working on doing VH.
  11. All maps list a channel in their load screen for players to meet up and play together; Element TD should be no different. Karawasa, you should designate a channel on the load screen so players can meet and organize more competitive games.
  12. Should I feel guilty about inputting a mode that nobody wants/likes? Such as perhaps SM, or VH, or even SR? I mean I do try to tell everyone in the game lobby about the modes I'll be putting in, and it's Battle.net 0.2's fault that I can't make game titles about the modes I will be selecting. Most of my games are VHSR, but soon I'll probably be doing SM once I get used to the early waves, and potentially Extra Short. Once I begin to do that, I can imagine people complaining even more about the creeps not starting at lvl 1. I already get roughly half the players in my games who refuse to play on very hard, or probably just leave because they sense the lvl1 creeps are harder than normal and leave right off the bat. What're your thoughts about this? I get a lot of complaints about VHSR. A couple leaving before the first wave even starts. I say if they want a specific mode so badly, they should host their own games like what I've done...
  13. I remember suggesting this for WC3 Element TD to make it like the DotA -apm command; though, I forgot the response Karawasa gave. Anyways, do you think it's now plausible to add in an -apm command for the SC2 version? Obviously this command would be just for fun.
  14. So far I can only get to ~lvl40 (~50 if I have access to comet towers XD) on VH, random with leaks.... Assuming I have all the elements, what can I do to at least survive until lvl60? Also assume my income tower selling/building micro sucks, so advice in that area would also be helpful if possible. Lastly, if you're on NA, and would like to play some VHSR with me, add me @sVFairyTail#598. I don't think I'm that active, but whenever I'm on SC2 it means I'm on to play Element TD.
  15. Hopefully this becomes common knowledge soon...
  16. Yeah, all my games (2 today) at least one person complained about this bug. It seems to start at the second level with the Scantipedes.

    EleTD SC2

It was one of my favorite things about EleTD on wc3.
  18. Heh, I was about to suggest this very thing. I still don't have the icons memorized, and the mouse-over would help very much. I feel am at a big disadvantage not knowing what type of wave is coming since I don't know what the icons mean

What happened to the remark about cojones at the end? I missed that

  21. Who is this gai... I've never seen him on the forums before... apparently using my bots to host? Either a liar or a hacker! Probably both
  22. I ALMOST BEAT THE GAME!!! This is the biggest accomplishment I've done! I used to play Normal Mode all the time, but decided to play Sancdar's favorite mode VHSRCM and almost beat it!! I lost at lvl 60 against the Evil Children. I got owned by them; regardless, I still did well and almost beat the game! After talking with Cisz on IRC Chat, I probably should have sold my bad towers for Periodic Here's the replay! Almost beat game on VHSRCM.w3g
