LOL NICE VIDEO! I laughed my ass off when the guy was talking about how generic some maps were, and plain right just saying how terrible an aspect of the map is. The guy is hilarious! Very nice review btw! Also, thanks for the link to the Map Gnome Database. Does display fresh new statistics each day? How does it work? Lastly, I'd like to say without a doubt, Element TD is extremely popular! I run the hosting bot that hosts Element TD on Azeroth to help distribute the map. Games fill to full house within a matter of seconds when hosted at the right time. When my friends aren't online, I can host 3-4 bots at once, and they all fill in a matter of seconds!

He hosted it public for some reason, and I was being over dramatic about how he'll ruin EleTD in an aggressive irrational manner Anyways, he let the game run without putting the authorization code just to show me how it looks. He somehow knew that I wouldn't want to play it after looking at the new changes. Sorry, but both Sancdar and I don't really like it I believe it was beta21. Hehe... greatest TD ever in Warcraft of course. Although to be frank, I believe it's one of the best TD's out there, because there are many styles of TD's out there. For example, in EleTD you cannot maze. :S But that's okay since it's not that type of TD.

lol nice pic! I too play DotA, although I mainly play pubs with friends as some of my friends aren't able to join higher tier games, so we just stick with good ol' pub. Either I've grown used to lame things happening in pub games, or the quality in my pub games are getting better. I don't seem to mind pubs too much, probably because I play with friends who are on my team, but they aren't pros at DotA, so I'd like to believe it's fair, even though we use Ventrilo. I'd say our win lose ratio is about 50/50, mostly because we just play DotA as a social event on Ventrilo; but very easily, if we were to try, we could win around 80% of the time. I host my DotA games with a Ghost bot which can record DotA statistics. My friends and I like to play on different accounts to fool around and etc... (we don't make random accounts everyday, rather we have a set number of accounts we use for different occasions/purposes) On an account I don't care about in DotA games, my record is around 50%, but on an account I would care about, I win nearly 90% of the time with a K/D ratio of 80%. (Unfinished games that result in draws don't count towards your win loss ratio. For a game to count, either the throne or tree must be destroyed before statistics are inputted) Anyways... whenever I want to play a real game, I can usually rely on TDA or open leagues to satisfy my DotA craving! I have a social side of DotA, where I like to talk to people, or to keep me busy and a competitive side of DotA, where I want to win with good teamwork and communication with my allies. At the moment, I'm leaning towards my social/trolling side of DotA where I just play to burn time, or have a change of scenery playing uncommon heroes. I'm getting a bit bored of competitive DotA because it's basically the same stuff every game. If you don't pick this hero, then the other team will pick it and they'll win for sure. You're forced to play a hero so your opponent doesn't take it, and it gets boring.... especially if you're the host and you're always first pick, although some times I change spots, but I don't really like giving up the host spot to people I don't know, unless obligated to input the correct game mode. So since I'm currently playing DotA just because it gives me something to do, I've stumbled across ele td again, and other random custom maps that try to imitate DotA but fail miserably. Are trickery towers commonly used? I think I finally understand what it's used for... to replicate stronger and more expensive towers. Did I get this right? Because I was about to post a new topic asking about the uses of trickery towers until I thought up of a reason. Although what's the point of upgrading them? To mimic even stronger towers? This tower is the most confusing tower for me lol

Oh boy! I'm excited to see this on a load screen! This is the first time I've seen it. Without a doubt, this load screen will make this game more visually appealing; drawing more people into the game! It will make the game look more professional and balanced, giving us the players a good first impression.

I'd like to know why the terrain at the bottom right corner is different from the rest of the terrain everyone else has. I've always wondered why it was different.

For those who do not know what apm stands for, it stands for Action Per Minute. It basically displays how many actions you make a minute. It won't affect the game play or anything, it would only be used for your curiosity, and convenience; and improve the game's command cosmetics a little. The command would work just the same as the -apm command in DotA. What good is this command in ele td? Simple! I've watched a few pro ele td replays, and the interest selling is crazy! I sometimes get tired of doing it, but I see a lot of you do it for the whole game with some complicated towers that require a lot of upgrades! Anyways, with all that selling and rebuilding action, you may want to see how many actions you've made per minute! Curiosity has led me to want to know how much actions I make in an ele td game, because ele td is an intense game! Now I'm aware a lot of new players don't know anything about interest selling, but once they do know, they too will eventually become curious, and with the -apm command, it'll be extremely convenient! Anyways, I hope you consider this for the next new release!

Alright... here's a typical replay of myself. I do all the typical things I would do. I'm playing a game with a couple of pubs, and three were able to beat me; although I mainly blame the loss on not knowing what towers to build, because my interest was exceedingly high compared to the others IIRC. Other things to note was that it was all-pick, but I chose random, it was all normal mode and normal difficulty. Can someone show me an all pick game on the 4.0 pb version normal mode with normal difficulty or higher? I can't remember how to play ele td without selling for interest, or do you still do that for AP? lol

Single slow towers such as uh.. frost (water-light) and flame (fire-nature) towers. Every time I use them, they don't seem to be doing much, and I don't really notice slows. I prefer AoE slows such as muck, windstorm, roots and nova towers for slows as they seem to be easier to use. I usually like to group towers up together around the 4 and 5 area (num pad notion). How should I position the frost and flame towers?

Hey guys, I'm new to these forums, but I've been playing ele td for a while and occasionally. I've decided to join the forums in hopes of getting better at the game, because so far, I can't seem to beat the game without using all the elements. I also want to see if I can get involved with the community as I believe this is one of the best TD's out there. It seems so complex and balanced, and challenging at the same time. I want to further my enjoyment with ele td by progressing further into the game, using new skills and strategies this place offers, because right now I can't seem to progress any further with my current skills. Hopefully with the helps of members in these forums I can get better! Other information about me is that I'm an avid DotA player. The main game I play on BNet is DotA, and I usually play ele td when I'm not DotAing. I usually play public games with friends and rare occasions TDA with them, although usually when I'm not DotAing with them I just play TDA myself. I'm also a D-A forum user since I also play DotA. Since I'm a D-A member, I figured I might as well be an element td member. I also play various open DotA leagues for fun and for a change of scenery; however, I don't necessarily play for stats there. I also own hosting bots with some keys, and I like to try and help this game prosper by hosting games everyday on the east server! My bots are able to automatically host games simultaneously, so I can get a bot hosting 5 games at once, and then re-host a game when one finishes, so I host nearly a hundred games of ele td's a day (depending on how long I keep them on for)! I'm also quite happy to announce that they fill up quite quickly! Anyways, that pretty much sums me up on Battle.net. I hope to meet you all on the forums and become an active member too. Hopefully you can teach me how to play better too! - Megadramon
