The model for Mist (Vapor level 2) looks like a tornado. I think we have too many tornados going around. There should be some sort of indication on the Windstorm/Monsoon tornado itself that tells you what its effect is, its amount of damage, etc.

[b23c] Trickery upgrade ignores autocast setting

likewise for well, blacksmith, and upgrades. -
i can't believe i didn't notice...

This applies to short mode especially: The game ought to announce which element is randomed. Everyone has to scroll to the entrance to see what element it is (Is it an element I'm weak against? Is it level 1 or level 2 or level 3? i.e. do I need to worry about it?); in short mode, it's basically a compulsory Element Query. So when each elemental guardian comes out, tell us which one it is. In short mode + random, give us Element Query automatically. Because we would all have to find out anyway. Once again, this is for Random mode only.

Your combinatorics is flawed. As was demonstrated, just counting 'ways' does not produce the correct probabilities at level 10, and hence does not produce the correct probabilities for any subsequent level.
-
i dont know what difference it would make. are you really gonna micro hydro differently knowing that every 4th attack will trigger the effect?
-
we obviously can't name it dota mode because no ancients are being defended

Consider the tree diagram. We have LEVEL 5 --> LEVEL 10 0 element (1/7)(1/7)=1/49 0 element 1/7 1 element (1/7)(6/7)+(6/7)(1/6)=13/49 1 element 6/7 2 element (6/7)(5/6)=5/7,where the (5/6) and (1/6) factors occur because the same element cannot be picked twice. So the ratio is 1:13:35. Which is to say not all 'ways' are created equal.

i'm sure we have the capability of making our own heroes, no?

according to my understanding of "the rules", random never gets you more than 2 interest.

yeah, it goes either way depending on the type of tower. the few that i noted were hail - small comet - big oblivion - big (i believe its exactly the same size as the portals at the start and end of the maze) flesh golem - no change poison - small disease - small the level of light that looks like the observatory - large

i decided to follow up with a look at the number of level 2's and level 3's. 100 trials each. each row is independent data (yes i was being inefficient. speaking of efficiency, you should make that computer program, kara). # of eles at/above level 2: 1 2 3 4 5 20/40 restrictions 0 13 63 22 2 25/40 restrictions 1 14 52 28 5 # of eles at/above level 3: 0 1 2 3 20/40 restrictions 21 60 17 2 25/40 restrictions 18 66 16 0 *yeah, yeah, you can't go above level 3. note, of course, that you can't have a tier 2 triple if you don't have at least 3 eles at/above level 2, and you can't have a tier 3 dual if you don't have at least 2 eles at level 3.

i ran a pair of simulations (on my graphing calculator. damn that thing is slow) using 100 trials each. only the final result of 3-ele, 4-ele, 5-ele, or 6-ele was recorded. Up to 2 interest picks were allowed in both. Pure essence picks were allowed in both (a pure essence was given in place of the element randomed if it had already been picked 3 times). In Sim1, I used the 25/40 rule, which resulted in 0, 11, 51, and 38 of 3-ele, 4-ele, 5-ele, and 6-ele builds, respectively. In Sim2, I used the 20/40 rule, which resulted in 0, 8, 52, 40. So i don't see the difference.

forget calculating relative power in game. just assume all towers are perfectly balanced the way they should be. then assign each tower a point value according to the power it theoretically should have (based on single/dual/triple and tier). edit: lulz this is kinda what jolin012 already said i think we should just ignore the effects of support towers because there's absolutely no way we can reflect this.
-
what is it with trickery? clones of some towers are bigger and clones of other towers are smaller.

@PunKZ: unfortunately, the hidden text in your quote isnt hidden

just a little something about electricity (and perhaps its upgrades too): the icon is bluish, the model is bluish, but the lightning that comes out is red. hmmm.

I'm just curious why there's people with 2, 3, 4, or 5 wrenches, but nobody with 1.
-
well, the real 4.0 isn't even out just yet, so don't count on 5.0

Then the whole foundation of mathematics would crumble to the ground! Q.E.D.

Maybe they just haven't been caught yet.
