Crazy eh? Ethereal Tower (single target)- Creeps hit by this tower briefly turn ethereal and are mildly slowed. Ethereal units take increased elemental damage but take no / nearly no composite damage.

Perhaps a chance for a small stun?

Mortar Tower- Long range AOE, but with large minimum range.

I got nothing specific right now, it's just a thought. For the Custom Unit ID -> it goes with the trigger "Unit-Set Custom Value" [call SetUnitUserData ( unit, integer)]. But no, I got nothing right now.

Consider that Gem at this point, if you focus on one unit, WILL completely stop it. You have to make this AOE disable slow enough so that we ALMOST certainly will not completely stop it.

I don't see what's so hard: You hit the hotkey. The dummy "Upgrading..." tower is created. When it's finished, switch it with a real tower. Cancelling is no big deal because each dummy "Upgrading..." tower only has one associated "From" tower and "To" tower.

The problem isn't spelling there.

I was thinking of what could be done with the slot in the editor normally reserved for "Ethereal". It's sort of another "layer" on top of Armor Type. Eh, it's not quite a completed thought yet. A Tower based on the Pocket Factory idea. A thought on the whole "Reversal" idea: Remember that if the reversed unit is slowed, it will also reverse slower. Remind me what the currently approved abilities are please. Are you guys currently using the Custom Unit ID?

Temporary Arrow Towers can help tremendously.

Perhaps an Ultra Arrow/Cannon Tower, somewhat on par with the elemental R/C?

I don't know if you know this, but in the Spongebob episode "Rock Bottom", Spongebob says this about Rock Bottom: "This isn't just darkness... this is... ADVANCED DARKNESS!" (as you can see, that's my sig.) I'm thinking of a joke along those lines too.

That must be pretty hard, I haven't even tried doing something like that. Earth-some kind of dirt Nature-Grass? Fire-Lava Water-Water? Or ice or snow? Darkness-Blight I struggle to think what Light would be.
