  1. Its just that its bordering impossible to beat the current Water/Nature 3 + Light/Earth 2 build score that I set. It would've been nice to have seen the top 20 scores have some sort of different builds even if it abuses the currently overpowered build path base. If anything it would be nice to have leaderboards for different combinations, this could just be elemental combinations so that you can see who is the best at attempting different strategies since right now you only get rewarded for doing what is the easiest strategy with a lucky spawn pattern such as getting reanimate during peak levels and having basic + weakness spawns towards the end which maximises your points and saved income due to the lack of stress to purchase towers pre-finish.
  2. I find it a little bit stupid but it also lends to the 'speedrun' atmosphere where everyone tries to copy the best. Personally I would like to see a bit more variety in the leaderboards even if people abuse the 3/3 W/N. Its a shame this score couldn't be submitted though.
  3. I would say if anything Fire/Dark 2 would be a better alternative from the normal Earth/Light 2
  4. I feel like fitting the Forge towers somewhere they can buff everything is the bigger problem with that idea. You do get access to the impetus and haste towers which could be a good thing, however you lose your % amplifiers also which is a bit of a downside. I won't really mention the Ephemeral towers since they need too much built around them to be good, plus they aren't good to stack up unlike the Tsunami towers which get stronger gradually.
  5. The extra income doesn't really outweight the speed score bonus to boost your score up so its hard to argue against saving 2% extra. Also you can save up for 7 whole waves with the pure tower which is a bonus also.
  6. If you mean by level 25~ probably not. At level 33 its possible to sell 2 Refined Nature towers and upgrade 1 then afk till 40 minutes which is much more reliable if you have built correctly up till then. Afterwards just stack tidal towers till 45, while trying to save as much as possible.
  7. Just want to note that its possible to get your 2nd Nature tower at level 4, you just need 2 arrow towers to help you through till you kill 2-3 creeps at level 4. It speeds up your level 4 clear a little bit and you should always end up with 112 gold by the end of level 5 to build a 3rd Nature tower when you get a level that might be rough. Also if you want a top 10 score you should just reset if any of the levels get past your main build as its very rare that your speed score will recover enough to make it worth it. A few notes that I have experienced over many many retries: • Reanimate levels early are a pain in the ass and you need 3+ cannon towers to kill them. • Fire level 2, 3 and 4 is a pain in the ass, if it has anything but regeneration or don't bother - Retry • Build the highest level Water tower if you have a reanimate fire level • If you get frustrated at having really bad spawns in Chaos + Rush + Insane and keep resetting should just enjoy the game differently. • Getting Pure essence before Water 3 isn't entirely worth it in most cases and can be avoided if necessary. ___________________________________________________ I'll add a few screenshots to how I build in the first few levels in most scenarios before I give up and reset I may give up halfway if I get too many reanimates at the wrong levels, retried roughly 10+ times at this point.. Level 1 - Place the arrow tower literally anywhere where it can hit 1 creep prior to the Nature tower and spam right click the furthest creep back (Doesn't matter, it will only clear the wave .1 second faster) Level 4 - Its also acceptable to place the Nature tower on the left if you don't get a REANIMATEAHAHEAHEAHAEHU Level 8 - Right side is acceptable also if you are't being mauled by reanimate or fire waves, build another Nature tower when possible to clear Nature elemental 2 Level 11 - Upgrade your Nature tower to stop getting mauled by awful spawns Level 15 - This should be able to clear most easy waves up till level 20, build another focused Nature below the one at 7 if you need any insurance. Level 20 - This is a little bit tricky, you need to sell the two Nature towers located at the top once the Nature elemental 3 is out of range, build a single focused Nature at the centre while building another focused Nature at the bottom left then after they kill the Nature elemental 3 you sell all of the towers that aren't at 7 or / and rebuild 1 or 2 focused Nature towers at the spots that they originally were in this screenshot. (I hope you were able to digest that all) As for the rest of the build... I think I won't be able to explain it properly as it just becomes a huge mess of buying and selling depending on the level up until level 25+ Skipping a few steps to level 30 - Camp the entrance with 2 Refined Nature towers and buy your essence ASAP then sell the Nature tower above to buy the Pure Nature tower when available, you may need to buy another Refined Nature tower before this is possible. Then you can afk until level 40 or something... Pretty balanced huh Then there's the grey area where I don't really think much but build whenever required. All I know is that you should have 725k points at level 50 or you've gone wrong somewhere. Level 50 - You should look something like this, place the second Pure Nature tower further down if you feel like it. Keep building if you are against any weakness levels (Fire/Dark) ... Then pray the next few levels don't have any reanimates as they lower your score by a considerable amount, possibly even leak if they are Dark or Fire ... If all goes well your pre-frog score should look like this ... And another failed high score
  8. It takes a few minutes to update, also if you used any cheats at all through either the sandbox mode or -gold xx the game won't be recorded. Edit: Just watched the replay, you got more OSfrog kills but you had under 1/3rd of the actual leaderboard total score.
  9. I feel like reanimate fire/composite is much more painful to deal with if you place your nature towers in good spots. There's just no way to deal with a large swarm of units if you lack the number of attacks required to actually pass the wave, but yeah I totally agree with you on the part where you need luck to actually get a high score if you understand what is required for each level.
  10. By the time you are on level 20 to get nature 3 you should have enough gold for 4x Nature 2 towers + 1x Well 1/2 tower. Try aim for this with about 300 spare gold. I never really check the exact numbers since rush + chaos insane is very hard to keep track of for numbers and exact build paths since you can get your build interrupted by a reanimate fire which requires Water 2 towers to clear. Always keep in mind there is no absolutes in this mode so always be ready to reset if you plan on getting a high score. Refer to the image below for what I'm about to explain: • Build the primary bulk of your nature towers around the upper left corner with a level 1/2 well tower buffing them. • Be ready to build and sell 2 of your Nature towers from the upper left corner (The ones that are placed in a less conventional position compared to the rest). • Build, upgrade then sell nature tower/s at 5, 1 and 3 in that order as the nature elemental walks past them. • Be ready to sell all the built nature towers at 1 or 3 and start rebuilding at the upper left corner to catch the wave assuming you had 2 nature towers there killing creeps as they flowed in. Note - If the following level is a fire or reanimate you should reset since its basically impossible to clear while buying/upgrading/selling towers to kill the nature elemental 3. If the level is an earth then you're probably on your way to a high score!
  11. To summarize everything that has been mentioned if someone is looking for the answer 1) There is a score bonus for how fast you can clear the wave which is cumulative and it can reset if you clear too slow, this cumulative bonus is also true for the clean bonus which basically means you can't leak any creeps. 2) Killing OSfrog levels requires you to somehow kill the full 30 frogs from each wave to be awarded the points, it took me a few attempts and lots of frustration to figure this out and conclude that the #1 rank is more or less about luck at the moment if you know how to build up till the final level. Source - Just got 2x 995k with over 60 frog kills in both games but failed to clear the actual 2nd wave of OSfrog so the score ends up showing 'Cleared up to wave 56' whereas the #1 is 'Cleared up to wave 57' as his 82 frog kills counted for 60/60 of the wave 1 and 2 frogs with the other 22 being from other waves. TL;DR - Kill the waves fast and you get a higher score, OSfrog level is borderline impossible to clear twice in insane + rush without a bit of lucky targeting.
