  1. beat 6ele build with maximum 3 damage towers in play at a time (VH AP)

    Get past wave X in the game, in less than 13minutes and 37 seconds. (VH AP maybe SM/XSM)

    Beat the game, not allowed to have any tower for more than 3 minutes before selling or upgrading it (VH AP)


  2. it's possible to build behind cave entrance and extreme area and random area. except for those players who are unlucky to have a terrain type there which is not buildable :P so I guess this was NOT intended. and btw this wasn't fixed for 4.0 either, but didn't wanna add new stuff to fix at that time :P

    maybe when you fixed the underscores thing karawasa, you only fixed it for firefox? or everything but Inet explorer?

    In any case it is very important to fix since there will both be double (almost official) versions out there, and after a lot of work with for example challenge replays people will get their replays axed due to this :( it is an important thing to fix. Until then, Only host the map on other sites. epicwar WC3C and Hive have no underscores. TheHelper Link also has underscores with IExplorer not firefox :(

    So - no thehelper and no forums until underscores removed please.


  4. Tooltips that IMO are not perfect (and suggestions, but feel free to disagree with me).

    Roots, "take 450 damage a second" -> "take 450 damage per second" it's more formal, right? at least per is whats' used on everything else.

    Flamethrower "If a unit is killed after being recently (1.98 seconds) damaged by this tower, it is incinerated, causing 2000 damage to all enemies in a 250 AoE." -> "Covers units in Napalm, causing units that die within 2 seconds to incernate, dealing 2000 damage in a 250 AoE." ppl won't care if it sais 2 instead of 1.98. it's only annoying, and I can't count milliseconds in my head.

    Corrosion "Spews acid at a target, splashing a powerful acid on units in 250 AoE. Decreases armor by 2; deals 500 damage per second. Lasts 5 seconds." "spew acid, splashing a powerful acid" doens't look great imo. maybe something like this: "Spew acid at target, and any other units within a 250 AoE. Decreases armor by 2 and deals 500 Damage per second."

    Polar "Bites enemies with bitter coldness, taking away 7% of current HP. Damage done during this time is amplified by 3.5%. Lasts 5 seconds."

    I like the "bite enemies with bitter coldness" part :D but the effect is unclear imo. Lasts 5 sec... - what lasts 5 sec? is hp given back? yes it is, and players should be allowed to know that :) dunno, maybe something like "Bites enemies with bitter coldness, temporarily taking away 7% of it's current HP. Damage done during this time is amplified by 3.5%. Lasts 15 seconds."

    BTW - polar says 5 sec on site - it is 15 sec in reality.

    Vapor "Scalds nearby enemy units for 150 points of damage per attack to units within 700 AoE.Damage from multiple towers stack." This one has "to units" twice in the same sentance Also towers that mean within an X AoE of the tower should announce that since most towers cause maybe a 250 AoE around the targeted unit. Perhaps something like: "Scalds all units within a 700 AoE of the tower for 150 damage per attack." hmm... is it possible to say within 700 AoE of the tower? or is within 700 range of the tower or within a 700AoE around the tower, more proper?

    Drowning "Gives a chance to kill attacked creeps. Chance to kill is Damage Dealt/Current HP." This one is pretty unclear. what is damage dealt? total damage dealt to creep would be what it sounds like. And current hp of what? of the tower? :P to make thinks sound more simple how about: "Gives a chance to kill attacked creep. Chance to kill is equal to (This) Tower's Damage/Creep's Current HP."


  5. and I think the ma command is only half way there^^ it should preferably be on the multiboard with letters and not only colors

    w/ or w/o colors I don't care. but I think this is important for public games to change in teh right direction. ppl play as hard as they want and can instead of the dif that they have greatest chance to win on (VE)


  6. Now that there is less on the plate, I would not like to count this one to Exiled Ideas.

    Also I know every coding Should be possible, including this one: "Also note that all 8 players are already allied, and far as I know there is no solution to prevent cluttered chatter"/karawasa.

    I like the idea and think it should be counted as "may be implemented in teh future". I'm moving the thread now - and if you move it back to exiled, guess what, I'll move it again :lol: . heh, nah, no worries, "may be implemented", doesn't mean anything anyway.


  7. ya... will be interesting to see what shows up :) so far, I'm a bit disapointed with the hosting on northrend... public beta still hsoted 5 times as much as 4.0... I guess it's cause the name doesn't sound updated. 4.0 doesn't sound like a new version as a gamename.

    1 row of 1100ranged towers reach the upper lane (above 8).

    1 row of 1100ranged towers reach the right lane (right of area 6).

    2 rows of 1100ranged towers reach the lower lane (under area 2).

    that they have different coverage is no problem in our opinions as long as it's the same for all areas and it seems to be. only that with micro and stuff you might fail to attack at the upper lane, above area 8. (if you have creeps around area 5 too, and try to micro lasthits above area 8 - micro makes for slow attacks and risks failing to reach the upper lane, 1125 range would solve for this.)

    The real problem is that tft has some bug, making ranges wrong - we could adjust the creep pathing to fit the errors of tft, but I dunno how much work/how ugly it'd look, since it's like 40 range off horizontal and that's quite alot.(dunno bout vertical yes, easy to test with laser microing in the middle between too lanes)


  9. That eletd pros only play with full sell is not entierly true. First of all, in most games, that is true, in 4.0PB we played mostly SR (random) which is full resell, since the game was too imbalanced for AP. In 4.0 things might change a bit since we tried to create balance :)

    Anyway, we have been playing something called Forum draft, which is a serious competition In AP Mode, with player-banned Elements and towers.

    4.0pb towers for me were a little to mathematically balanced. Now, support towers show their strenght on the last levels, which is great - the promote well thought build before chaotic all element all towers noob build, which sadly were effective. Now you have to plan your build more than on older versions.
    I don't completely understand what you mean here, since 4.0 is a lot more mathematically balanced than 4.0PB was... and well yes, the trick is no longer necessarily to build all towers. infact there should be several tricks that are not too strong but rather so - I hope at least 15-some builds will work out in AP.
    I love new support and buffing not only damage but also abilities.
    ya, that's one of the most important steps towards balance that we made :) and it's cool imo. some may think balance is too one sided and boring, but if you see it the other way, it makes more combinations available, rather than if every tower only works in one special way, maybe that would be more one-sided.
    Still, I'm little sad that you changed Golem so much. I admit that it wasnt very powerfull, but the concept was fine, could have use some strenghtening, so that whole build could be focused on him for fun, instead of making him new quark (although thanks god less micro intensive).

    Trickery is viable at last level. Great!
    err - what? wasn't that like the only lvl it was viable on in PB?:P anyway it works on all lvls now - unless you use tier 1 on too cheap towers, just like with well and blacksmith.
    Voodoo seems little useless now, to short duration IMO
    you are right. we have talked about this, and even if it's effect is as long as corrosion it has a second less in realtime, since every creep is hit at least twice and corrosion resets time, while voodoo obviously can't reset. maybe we should make it 7.5 sec for next next version.
    Isn't Hail damage to low now?
    erm. no. it attacks fast and has multi-shot and long range.
    Love the drowning now stacking with support.
    ya - that's one of my favourites too. and the ability no longer ignores armor or armor type either.
    Enchantment seems so much worse than acid now. The same armor reduction with only one target. Dunno if it will be playable
    Enchantment ability lasts 15 seconds. corrosion(acid) ability lasts 5 seconds. And Enchantment casts faster, so with 2 enchantments next to each other, yuo can fearie fire all of them for 15 sec, while one corrosion does all creeps for 5 sec((infact between 6 and 7 since creeps hit twice per side of the tower and that resets corrosion time.)).
    I wonder how this new gunpowder / ice will work, though now the Ice's name appear to be little pointless since it doesn't slow.

    Sunburn got changed, sad thing really, it was pretty cool.

    Flame (sunburn) was cool!.. but it ruined game balance, sorry.. just like ice tower did.. And we know ice sounds weird to not slow. but the elements water and light must make sense too and with models and stuff - a tower is a tricky puzzle of cosmetics you know, and the ability and name alone isn't all that matters.. there's models and contained eles too that need to make sense.
