Random element didn't spawn

I played a game on normal with 2 other people, no other modifiers. I chose to random my elements, but no element spawned for me on wave 40. My water elemental was level 3 if that means anything.

Not sure what other info you might need, but you can always ask.

with level 3 water, maybe you randomed an essence for pure tower? did you receive additional gold instead of the elemental?
