Guest aths Posted December 23, 2007 I just uploaded an updated version of my Ele-TD tool. Find it here. It's still beta. It was made as a helpfull tool to search the tower list for 2 and 3 element towers. This is still the core functionality. There is a powerful search field integrated (more about the search function tomorrow, I am going to have some sleep now.) The tool also offers information for all 60 creep waves. Another important part is the strategy creations since you can try out some element strategies without actually play the game: Pick and element and see what towers are available right now and which towers would become available if you pick any other element. Karawasa Posted December 23, 2007 An excellent and interesting tool. I look forward to future versions of this, especially an updated one for 4.0. Go to top Share this post Link to post
Guest aths Posted December 23, 2007 A bit more about the tool: - If you click on an triple element tower you also will see what dual element towers are possible. - If you spend your lumber on the left-side, you will see what combo towers (2 or 3 elementals) are possible. Since you only see any tier at the same time, you will see the highest tier where you can build any tower. Use the buttons on the upper left side to change the tier. - Wonder how many firepower you need to kill a single creep? Open "Money per Level" (or press F5), then check - HP to kill - P. C. (per creep) - Armor as +HP In a future version of the tool I will add tooltips to all checkboxes. Here is more about the search box in my tool. - Type anything in like "inf". You get the infernal tower as result with information (T1, e-f-w). This means Tier 1, earth, fire, water. If you just type "in" you get 15 results because there are 15 towers which names includes "in". - Need to know which tower offers lets say combined (non-elemental) damage? Just type ~:c. If you like to know about any tower with earth damage, type ~:e. If you need to know any tower with either light or dark damage, type ~:ld. you get the idea. - Lets say you want to know any tower with dark damage but the tower has to be tier 2. Type ~:D2. The "2" limites the output to tier 2 only. You can use 1 for tier 1, 3 for tier 3 or any combination for example ~:d23. - If you want to have only dual towers, add a -. If you want to see only triple towers add a +. So ~:w+ shows any triple tower which deals water damage. - Now to the real use. ~le shows any tower which needs light and earth and may be other elements. With #le you see any tower (it is only one) you can build if you have 1x light, 1x earth. Type #llee to see any tower you can get with 2x light, 2x earth. Type #lleewwn to see any tower you can get with 2x light, 2x earth, 2x w and 1x n. You get the idea. - Of course this output still can be filtered for damage type. Try #lleewwn:en to get any tower from the list with earth or nature damage. - Now this is for users with 2 monitors and playing random. Click in the main list to get the input focus from the search box and click the button "Clear all Elements X". Now you can use hotkeys to add elements. It is Shift-Alt-E for earth, Shift-Alt-N for nature and so on. The list is updated instantly. An excellent and interesting tool. I look forward to future versions of this, especially an updated one for 4.0.I have to have the map before I can say if it is possible at all to update the tool for 4.0.
