What's is the problem what a Light Tower element waste one shot?? .... his speed atack is 0.66 ..... in the pure form ... the fire tower have to shot 5 times almost to do the same damage of the light tower, and the light tower have 22 range , the fire tower have 8 range ..... if you don't see a difference between these tower ... you are so blind ....

    and in Very hard mode ... that gap it's very determinant .. and don't forget what i'm talking about SC2 version

    What you can think about it is say the light tower is attacking at 22 range. With the missile speed not being instant it may waste 2 shots not hitting a creep (possibly more or less) but thats 2 shots that the fire tower WILL hit and have a probable AOE.

    If we do some simple math and figure out the towers dps we get the fire tower doing 5681.25 dps and the light doing 11362.5 dps yes thats about half the dps the fire damage is doing if we look at it as if every attack hits.

    Now we need to figure out what we are attacking a boss or multiple mobs. If boss yes of course the single target tower will do more. But normal waves you may catch 2-5+ mobs in each attack with the fire tower.

    So not including any tower missing (the light tower does alot just admit it).

  2. Ya know. Maverck's post gave me a slight idea. If a custom resource is used you can have a system where you may only purchase only certain weapons that cost varying amounts of said resource that you get (say every time you would get a gas you get one of this also) you can choose to spend it on something weaker like a... heal on a enemy mob, or saving it and getting somthing possibly devastating like sleeping your enemy's worker. Adds more depth to the system if ya ask me. :)

    Hit by 3 10% slow : Will be moving at 72.9% speed

    Now we have 30% slows too... so heres all your combos you can slow for. Please remember that it matters what one hits first so i will calculate it as if the bigger slow hits first.

  4. I mean honestly Mega hit the nail on the head. Not many players who play the game for the first time want to be placed in a game where VH is going to happen. They will get their asses kicked within the first few rounds.

    But i do want to bring the attention to *IF* you had the control to choose the difficulty as host and set it as VH. How many of the players who were there (8) do you think would stay in the game? To be honest i would guess around 1-3 other players would and that's more than half gone. Not something really conductive towards a game being popular just "Hoping" the host will pick what you want.


  5. Hmm. I guess you are right it truely isent stated that it will effect YOUR difficulty not a vote for EVERYONE'S difficulty like it used to be. Perhaps this could be stated better for new players.


  6. It will automatically update on Starcraft 2 itself next time you host/join the game.

    If this is another question from people pirating the game and not having access to battle.net then no you cannot have it.


  7. I like the make timer longer as the game goes on idea. It seems like it would make more sense then having a static 60 seconds or so for every round where clearly lower levels take ALOT less time to kill and lets be honest the more time you have the more tempted you probably will be to leak one for income. However the way the time scales id say should probably be upped more time/round every 5-10 levels max to allow for more smooth game play rather then adding an extra 20 seconds or so every 20 levels.


  8. Giving a power bonus to more experienced players in a competitive game is just horrible design.

    God i couldent agree any more. Some games that do that its like the good people get better and the worse people stay bad because of that system.
