If you can't host, go to www.portforward.com; they show you how to set up your router so you can host.

I host at least one match per day on US East at around 5-6 PM Eastern, but it's always on very hard difficulty. The best thing to do is to set up your router to be able to host, which is a very simple task, or you can play it on single player. It sure won't be as fun as multiplayer, but there is zero lag, which can help a lot.
