Mute feature

when you're hosting a game and someone is really annoying, wouldn't it be nice to shut them up?

Is it possible to have a command line like "-mute Purple" so that their text is not visible to other players?

Excellent idea, you could include a feedback so that the acolyte builder displays the silenced symbol (from the skill of Sylvanas in W3) and make the annoying guy listen the silence skill sound each time he writes a message, so he knows he is actually talking trash.

I think the silenced person would pull from the game, though.

Although, it's not like you're going to be missing out on much, any way. He'd be doing you a favour. :P

That's what the B.net /squelch (or /ignore) command is for. I think it's also unpleasant to code into the map, and muting a player shouldn't be a host command anyhow.

Fair enough.

Sometimes its fun to get swept into a meaningless stupid conversation with other players... sometimes it just makes my head hurt.
